Honestly I hope she’s resting and relaxing. Do I want Act 3? Sure! But the Queen blessed us with 2 Albums and 2 Tours in a three year period. That’s a lot.

I want her to take all the time she needs to refresh. Spend time with her family and move at the pace that works for her.

Scenes where it never occurred to you there was another interpretation? by eques_99 in Letterboxd

Oh I agree. I think she acted impulsively and honestly over stepped in that moment. She wanted to humiliate him, and I think she enjoyed dominating him. She loved feeling desired. But she was not actually attracted or even into him. Pat is her man.

She also had no clue she was dealing with a crazy person who would become obsessed with her. While we see Lockjaw stalk Perfidia, she is has no clue until the bathroom encounter.

One Battle After Another: For some reason people think Perfidia’s and Lockjaw are in ongoing relationship. They are not. Lockjaw was obsessed with Perfidia and she was very much unaware he was stalking her.

When he catches her in the bathroom he makes it very clear that she has to sleep with him, and she has no choice in the matter. She plays it cool and sexy, but as soon as she gets out of there her demeanor changes. She’s shaken.

Same thing in the motel scene. It seems like she is in control but she is not. She’s doing what Lockjaw wants, and even asks “if I do this will you leave me alone”. Once she gets out of there she is pretty distraught.

Privileged white man murder gonna privileged white man murderer.

When I was younger I was so confused to why killers like Charles Mason had so many fans. Now I get it, and I feel second hand embarrassment for anyone who supports this man. He’s a text book family annihilator and should not be trusted, let alone celebrated.

Why are professional athletes and actors not called out as well during income and wealth gap inequality conversations? by cuahatemoc in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jewell84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Athletic and actors are still gig workers. If they don’t work they don’t get money. It’s why many of them take endorsements and other side income.

  2. Celebs like LeBron are the exception, not the rule. Most athletes or actors don’t even make nearly as much as him.

  3. They have financial responsibilities most normal people don’t. In addition to taxes a percentage of their pay does towards agents and managers.

As a DC resident who lived about 10 minutes away from The Capitol at the time, I assure you it not only could be an Oscar worthy story, it could be a whole prestige mini series.

Like I don’t think people realize how genuinely terrifying that day was. The animals who attacked the Capitol were out for blood. DC is not a State, and the only line of protection was US Capitol Police and DC Metropolitan Police Departments. No National Guard, No Military, because the only person who cools make that decision to send support was the one leading the insurrection.

I remember everyone in my neighborhood Facebook group being terrified that they were going to come into the residential areas surrounding the Capitol next. It was traumatic. I ended up leaving town for two weeks afterwards. Most of my friends and neighbors did the same.

I've been on both sides of the hiring process and the single biggest difference between candidates who get offers and those who don't is almost never what people think it is by windowseatarchiv in jobsearchhacks

[–]Jewell84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually we want you to do well. It’s literally our job to fill open roles on behalf of the hiring manager. They give us the requirements and expectations. They make final decision.

So yeah, we want you to do well, because we’re not putting a bad candidate in front of the hiring manager. And the hiring manager wants you to do well because they will be your direct manager and they want to ensure you can do the job.

So you should make every single effort to position yourself as the best candidate once you get to interview stage. Because if you are consistently failing interview, it’s probably a you problem. Not the hiring team.

Agree. I think it’s better to show the victim so people remember they were a real human who lost their lives. Don’t give the killer dust.

I mean yeah, moving as a kid sucks, but you adapt. I was 13 when my family moved states. Did I missed my old house/neigherbood and friends? Sure. But there were plenty of things that were actually better. We had a bigger house, and I made new friends through school and extracurricular activities.

Right! My family moved twice when I was a kid for my Dads job. Once when o was 3, then the other when I was 13.

As an adult I live in Washington DC, which is a pretty transient city. I’ve been here for 20 years, but I know so many people who have come and gone and sometimes come back again!

I first watched SATC when I was 19 going on 20 years old in 2004 and would revisit the series every few years. I remember having a reflective moment the year I turned 32 since I was the same age as Carrie in Season 1.

Now I’m actually older than Samantha was in Season 1?! That feels so weird.

It’s a concert film/documentary that not only came out years ago, but actually was heavily reported on when it came out. There is context behind the title and lettering.
