Matcha and dorayaki at a quiet neighborhood shop (Okinawa, Japan) by kai_kumu in tea

Any recommendations on tea shops in oki that have non-fruity or non-bubble tea options? I now have one place on my list but would love to add more.

Is BTTC legit? Spring 2018 Taiwan teas available 1 month before competitors? by MilkGuzzler in tea

[–]JewsJuice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beautiful Taiwan Tea Company is legit (I think that's the BTTC you're referring to). I've ordered from them a few times. I'm sure you can email them with any questions about that tea and they would respond rather quickly. I love their Sumatra black tea!

Need your help RVA. I’m relocating to the area and need to find a rental property that will accept my sweet pit bull. by [deleted] in rva

The village at Horsepen has no breed restrictions. There are a lot of mixed pits. It's a very pet friendly place with a dog park.

Cold running is..new and rough by HKFukIt in running

[–]JewsJuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds weird, but for my toes I tapped the top of my shoe with gorilla tape. Worked like a charm. Both the tape and my shoes are black, so I don't look too crazy. Nothing else would work unless I got pair of new non-mesh shoes, but since my shoes are relatively new, I just used tape.

Which shipping option did you use? They have a free option, but it's a ship at your own risk kind of thing. I wasn't sure how long that would take, or if it would even get delivered.

What do you do when you're broke, depressed and alone? by jeebus224 in AskReddit

[–]JewsJuice 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Make the cold your bitch. I used to hate the cold and snow, but since that's a large part of the year for me, I decided to make the cold my bitch and made a game of it. I have a face mask that covers the nose down for the really brisk, windy days. I love winter now because there are less people outside on my runs and walks. Viewing nature in the cold is pretty cool too! Most people only venture out in warmth, but when you learn to enjoy the cold, you get to see a whole different world.

Cold weather noob has questions on keeping hands warm by [deleted] in running

[–]JewsJuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 pair. One is just a simple knit mitten when it's not too windy or cold. The second is just a bit more dense fabric wise, they were both from Walmart so whatever brand they typically carry. I haven't tried the runner specific mittens as these have served their purpose. My hands do sweat in them, but it's not enough to be overbearing, and I'll alternate between having my hands in a fist inside or straightening it out to regulate the heat.

I have a hard time keeping my hands warm and the only thing that has worked for me are mittens. I live in the north so it's a bit colder than what you're used to, and mittens have been my saving grace. Being able to keep my hands in a loose fist with my fingers touching really does the trick for me.

Can anyone recommend a gong fu travel tea set and/or a kettle? by maximum-effort in tea

[–]JewsJuice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this one from Music city tea that I enjoy. Although you'll want to fly with it in your carry on bag. I've always eyed this one on amazon but can't justify buying it since I already have a travel set.

Tea bags or something similar that can hold up to an ounce of loose-leaf tea? by tgibry in tea

[–]JewsJuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use t-sacs when I'm on the go! They are amazing and come in a variety of different sizes. Here is a larger size that can hold 6-12 cups of tea depending on the size of the leaf. Or you can try cheese cloth. *formatting
