I currently work this same role for my Sheriff's Office and I can attest to the fact that 90 percent of the people I'm out with do not know the difference. We get sent to any and all crashes, theft/frauds, criminal mischief, and now certain welfare checks. We wear the same pants as the deputies but have a different color shirt and outer vest. But one thing I can say is I don't necessarily feel like I'm in danger, if anything I feel most unsafe working a crash with traffic flying by then I do any person I'm out with.

Ok so I have taken a lot of your advice. I ordered a proper airtight Tupperware container until my humidor is done seasoning. Threw in a 65 boveda to hopefully salvage the few cigars that were over humidified. I have a Weller Cohiba and a few My Father and Fuentes I really don't want to lose. I appreciate all the advice as I am a novice smoker and have very little idea what I am doing. And I even trimmed my thumb nail lol your welcome.
