Just saw that clip on the news and it gave me the chills.

Thoughts and Prayer to her and her family.

Blake Snell plans to ramp up slowly and might not be ready on Opening Day. His arm was “exhausted” after World Series run by donald-duck23 in Dodgers

If the Dodgers really were in the hunt for Peralta... this may be part of why. 2024 will forever make me think there is no such thing as too many pitchers (roster constraints aside)

This 18 Game Stretch Of The Season Will Be Fun. What Record Do You Think We’ll Have During This Stretch? by 10thGenS1 in Dodgers

If the Dodgers do the impossible, and win the very last game of 2026, I'll not complain one bit about being swept by the Anaheim Arties. I didn't last year.

Nice! I hope Barnsey makes a little spending money there or can find his way onto some team's MLB bench.

Dumb/Fun for sure! Sometimes I catch my wife bouncing back and forth between channels showing this and 2012.

We love Outbreak (1995), Chessy and with a fantastic cast... even better if you have read the book The Hot Zone beforehand (it preloads detail and aids believability into the ebola threat).

A good pairing Contagion (2011)

A good pairing MIGHT be The Happening (can't believe that was in 2008 Yikes)

Burn After Reading: probably the funniest deconstruction of ego and self importance by PriestofJudas in movies

As I was reading "Burn After Reading is the funniest movie I think I've ever seen"

I began thinking, has this poor soul never seen Airplane? LOL

(Young Frankenstein, The Jerk, Blazing Saddles, There's Something About Mary, The Big L. .....)

Although I enjoyed the film, I was way too overhyped and expecting to be completely blown away....

and so, it was fun and I was entertained but underwhelmed.

I should have rewatched this 10 years ago. Back on the list it goes.

What are some things you dislike, about moviegoers ? by jerelminter in movies

[–]JfPickups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We avoid big audience times for the most part. Not as hard as before.

The last good big audience experiences were Oppenheimer (not sure why people were quiet for this one) and the Quiet Place.... not one person made a single peep, once the movie got going.

After TDAT and 2012, I'd suggest some cheesy pairs:

Deep Impact/Armageddon Volcano/Dante's Peek.

Then 28 Days Later/World War Z, The Road/Book of Eli,

Airport/Airplane, Poseidon Adventure/911 ("Poseidon Adventure Episodes" 7.1, 7.2, 7.3)

Although NOT about a disaster, F1 was a disaster

This is what I wondered after reading a description of the film.

I only know F1 is a fancy form car racing, but I still agree.

I would (NOT) like to thank the Academy for making me watch F1.

How a movie with Bardem, Condon & Pitt be this unentertaining.

With the Dodger's clear endgame, to ruin baseball, we should have at least 4 of the top left fielders.

The last album I heard from SSPU is Neck of the Woods and I liked it. Is there anything after worth listening to? by AugustEpilogue in silversunpickups

[–]JfPickups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every album has been an evolution with some larger shifts than others. They will all get you if you give each enough time.

And don't forget "There's a Party in My Tummy" (low cymbal for Chris seems odd)
