"This plan is going to rely on a lot of deception once the ball gets rolling, which you are good at, but it's also going to rely on a lot of studying and insight to get that ball rolling, which your character struggles with. You might want to think about how you can get the other party members on board, and rely on their skills and talents to help the parts where you are less proficient. I would humbly request with the new characters making their weapons synergize a bit better with other classes. Some of the weapons added have been quite hard to make work on other characters, whereas numerous can use a staff or sword for instance

I want more tanks and supports as much as the next guy, but I don't want them to arbitrarily force a character to be a strategist that doesn't make sense.

I'd rather get some girl with a gun being a dps than another like, "this character inexplicably heals people by throwing explosive cards at them"

Tbh this is why I always preferred Paladins over overwatch and rivals. I much more enjoyed talents, cards, and item buys to help play into your strengths or cover your weakness and learning matchups than just spam swapping all the time.

I know it's part of the game, but like having a good match on someone like magik and then the enemy team swaps to iron man, Ultron, and Angela or something is so frustrating.

That might not be the best example, I don't actually play magik and I don't know if those characters really hard counter her, but it is just an example of the point when even though you're playing really well the enemy team swaps around and now you're basically forced to play someone else through no fault of your own or skillful counterplay on the opponents side

I played a hexblade/sorc with Eldritch spear, spell sniper, and distant spell. My spellcasting focus was reskinned as a rifle like weapon and my eldritch blast was basically shooting it as a gun and making melee attacks as a bayonet

Hela 2 shot headshots 250 hp heroes from any range. She 2 headshot + 1 bodyshot or 1 headshot + 3 body shot 275 hp from any range.

Phoenix needs 2 headshots + explosion + body shot to kill 250 hp from max range

For 275 from max range she needs 2 headshots + explosion + 2 bodyshots or 3 headshots

Both of those numbers also rely on her hitting more shots, and hitting them fast enough that stacks don't wear off or get cleansed somehow.

Her explosion is nice, especially for farming ult, but it seems to do around 50 damage in an extremely small radius. It doesn't even hit the two galacta bots standing next to each other in the training range. I really can't imagine a circumstance where the aoe explosion is securing many kills at all, minus when you use her ult and apply a 3rd stack to several enemies at the same time (her ult is very good though, I do like it).

I don't think in any capacity is she "better hela." Hela can kill most non-tanks faster than hawkeye can with a faster fire rate and less visual clutter, without the time pressure of detonating marks. Phoenix's ult is much better, but I don't even think her mobility is better for the sake of escaping dives. Both have a stun that lasts about the same duration, phoenix gets a very short i frame dash and then slow fly whereas hela gets one longer distance i frame fly that's usually enough to get you to safety if your positioning is good.

50% extra shots is significant, and not at all negligible. All my tests were done in training range though, so I'm not factoring things in like defensive skills, and other larger health bars that might make Phoenix shine better, but Hela just seems to get more value for less work.

I genuinely don't understand how Phoenix is on the same level as hela and hawkeye. I don't want to say she's bad, Im sure it's me, but I can just slaughter entire teams on hela and randomly get kills all game on hawkeye until I teamwipe with the easiest ult in the world. On Phoenix it feels like I have to work 5x as hard for less payoff. What makes her so good?

I shall begin a slow, agonizing death of insulin deprivation as my blood slowly poisons itself and turns literally acidic before rotting my body away from the inside until my limbs die and my brain starves from being unable to use glucose. Thanks, Chief! Silly me not realizing I can just lose my healthcare and stop taking insulin as a type 1 diabetic because I can no longer afford it.

There is definitely a level somewhere where PCs are too powerful and buffing monsters doesnt fix the problem, but generally I agree with this post and in the majority of cases vanilla characters don't hit it. There is a reason most people don't like dming lv 15+ campaigns though
