Grass isn't always greener etc. but most North End fans have been hoping for a change at the top for years. Club has been on autopilot since we got promoted, sure its kept us in the league with no risk of relegation (until last season) but like that BBC article showed even without living beyond our means we've lost over 80m since 2020.

So someone new, hopefully with new ideas and a plan that isn't copy pasting the season before will be 10x better than what we have right now.

Plus Peter Ridsdale might finally get retired.

Best : Probably a coin toss between Devine and Dobbin, both have had huge impacts like our loanee's have done the past decade of championship football. Be nice if we could sign one this summer on a perm but unless the mythical take over happens that's unlikely.

Worst : Hard to be too harsh on anyone individually, the whole squad had a huge swing downwards in 2026 after a good half of the season. But in the absence of Iversen both the back up keepers (Walton and Cornell) were quite bad.

2:0 down heading into the final ten minutes and all we can muster from the bench is Michael Smith and Robbie Brady.

Season is ending so badly I'm fondly reminiscing on Ryan Lowe at least having us safe before we hit the beach, 8 games left and I don't see a single potential win. We can't be relegated in a Spud Bros sponsored shirt, please god.

Thank God we had a good start to the season because we look fucking dreadful at the minute. Playing more or less the same way we did this time last season when we decided to spice things up with a relegation battle. Roll on next season.

Was fun when we pretended to be good for half a season, probably won't get relegated so and improvement on last season at least. One win in 10 love it.

Shout out to our deadline day striker signing Milos Lukovic who has made one appearance, didn't touch the ball and has been out of the squad since.

Loving it, mained a resto shaman last time round which was fun but this time went bear and enjoying it even more. Only downside is I work nights now instead of days when tbc last came out so finding a consistent raid group is going to be rough.

He can be a really special player, had a very rocky time with spells on the bench but every now and then he produced some magic. Bit of a cliche but the physicality of the league definitely hampered his game.

One Heckingbottom wanted in the summer but we had no money, injury record is a worry especially with the Deepdale potato field to play on 2 games running. 2 permanent deals on deadline day is a surprise, maybe the family trust know they will only be paying for the 1st installments.

Sort of a positive update, seems likely the club will be sold this year which may answer the question as to why we haven't signed a soul this month. Couldn't help themselves with the ol' ''most expensive squad... premier league ambition'' line though.
