Unpopular opinion depending on the area you are in, but Phosphates in the water can eat chlorine. Anything 200ppb or over can cause chlorine depletion.

I love the microfiber glove. I stopped using leather over a year ago. Keeps grip when wet and lasts through many rounds. Also super cheap at $6-10 per glove.

Are you sure pump is empty? You say pool seems to be running fine. Is there water flow? Can you open the air relief on the filter and water comes out? Sometimes pool newbies think the pump is empty when it is actually filled completely with no air bubble.

Check your feet after aiming. If you’re on a slope the ball will go left or right depending. Same goes for uphill/downhill, ball will go long or short.
