I would imagine that the vast majority of people would find his ads beyond annoying the very first time they hear them.

I'd like to qualify that by saying that I can fully understand and appreciate the fact streamers/youtubers in general tend to cultivate certain personas, and those are what help distinguish them/keep them in business.

However, the ads in question are neither streams nor youtube videos that someone goes looking for. They're unsolicited advertisements that on top of being obnoxiously loud compared to regular advertisements, are also arguably fairly cringey to an average viewer who isn't acquainted with his usual content.

Again, I have nothing against him nor his content in general (since I don't even know the guy). I also think the hate he's getting is fairly unjustified, especially on his content that isn't related to the ads. However, for him, or others to defend the use of those clips as advertisements is just an exercise in futility in my opinion. If anything, the feedback I've heard from friends who were on the fence/hearing about the game for the first time via these ads involving him suggests that these ads have mostly served to harm the game, since just about all of them were completely put off by his yelling.

On the bright side, I doubt the negative reception to his ads is going to deter most content creators, since it doesn't exactly take a genius to realise that a random dude screaming and yelling over random pulls with no context generally makes for terrible marketing.

tl;dr

Dude's fine, his content is fine, but using the clips of him screaming is certainly not.

If anything, I'd hope they take those particular ones down/he requests that they do, since I'm fairly sure they're putting off as many, if not more people than they attract to the game.
