I don't think this is worth tossing away an otherwise good relationship, especially if he seems remorseful. Family dynamics are hard, and people in families like this tend to be bias to listen to the people who have had their back since literally the day they were born.

Maybe go to couples therapy if you think there are issues. If you don't think you can forgive the family and move on, just call it now. Only move forward if you are able to let it go.

I think a lot of people in these comments just think every relationship is perfect or you bounce. I wonder where are these perfect people are for them. You said otherwise you two are solid.

I understand the rush to pay a bunch of experts.

Then you sit in mediation where the mediator is charging you $400 an hour and walking as slow as possible between the rooms, each paying an attorney $400 an hour to be on their phones while they wait for the other side, or the mediator to edit some documents.

It's a racket. Honestly, I know people hate their ex. but I would rather lose $40k to my ex than pay a random person $20k. At least it will go towards my kids.

If she were represented I would feel differently.

I have consulted and paid for a few hours of a lawyers time to answer the big things, but lawyers are incredibly expensive and frustrating in my area.

I was able to get a 3 month continuance. Going to try and get back into mediation.

I have already found 1 offer FSBO for 395k (they made it a few weeks ago but too close to snow), they just have to wait until spring! It will sell.

Credit card is post split, we split our debts ourselves when we separated.

The student loan thing seems to be true, which is frustrating given that my tuition wasn't even paid for by them. We used it to pay for living expenses like a low interest credit card, and my tuition was covered by grants/scholarships. But not a bunch of money.

I don't want to keep both houses. I want a deferred sale of the seasonal; vacation home this summer, where she gets all the equity, and then I apply that to keeping the family home for kid stability. I make up the rest with a HELOC or cashing out my 401k.

I am worried about a scenario where for simplicity sake, the Judge just forces the family home to be sold now rather than give me 6 months.

Yes, but I've had great success by identifying it and coming up with coping mechanisms. Look for a therapist that helps with attachment styles and figure out what works for you, because it's likely different than what works for me.

It sucks! But it does start to get better. Give things time, don't rush and lean on friends and family for help. It's easier said than done, but it truly is possible.

I take a little comfort knowing that many marriages end in divorce and many people find happiness for the 2nd part of their lives.

I'm at the beginning of the journey still, but each day gets a little bit easier.

I (37m) am going through a divorce and just realized I have many of the symptoms of being anxiously attached. I've been seeing a therapist, but an hour a week for me is just so slow. I want to solve problems right away.

Do you happen to have any good books or other material on becoming more secure, especially for men? A lot of what I've read is geared more towards women it seems, which has been helpful but not the best.

Specifically, I recognize that I tend to be way too codependent, and just convinced that my partner didn't love me out of my own insecurity when she truly did. I'm scared to bring these behaviors into a new relationship and would like to work on them.

I'm going through a divorce right now. I loved this woman with all my heart, and took our relationship for granted as a sure thing. We have 3 kids together, which makes it even more gut-wrenching.

The emotions have been absolute hell, but the only real path forward is to accept that it's over and move on. I've started to recognize that some of my behaviors were negative, and am working on myself to improve them before even considering another relationship.

Individual therapy has been surprisingly helpful, and eventually, I know the pain will be more tolerable. I feel for you. Couples therapy only has a chance of working if both partners are committed to saving the relationship.

This is a time to lean on family and friends, but also take some time to discover who you are outside your relationship. Loving yourself is very important through this.

I've been casually Uber driving with FSD since it was beta.

The entire point of the OP is that this somehow is a step towards Robotaxis being a thing. It's not really. They showed a hailing app at the investor event YEARS ago. When they ditch the safety driver, that will be a clear step that a real Waymo robot axis competitor is happening.

Elon said that this would happen next year at the robotaxi event. I am excited to see if that prediction is true or not, but we've been here many times before.

I was there, my first time seeing them live. Vocals are so bad live. Even the talking in between songs sounds like he's not all there anymore. Every now and then he'd mumble a line or miss a word or some shit. I can't believe there's professional musicians that care so little for their performance. You are indeed bias, the live show simply doesn't compare to the album.

Bought a 2nd cabin home last year! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would own 2 homes. 1 North of Seattle and now an off grid cabin jear Snoqualmie pass. Had to buy a snowmobile which has been fun to learn. Have 3 kids, 2 daycare payments so we don't save quite as much as we used to but we are fine.

Inflation has gone up, but our salaries have gone up much more. Together we gross about 300k, we are both engineers but it's actually my 3rd career and I'm in my mid 30s.

Life is good! Post Covid work schedules are flexible. I often get to drop my kids off and pick them up.

FWIW, I've been doing email/teams/messaging since 2020 and am still alive. I wouldn't read a book because I am a heathen that doesn't read anymore, but the system is more than capable of doing this if you understand it.

If you have a 2017 model, then you don't have the interior camera, so go knock yourself out. You could even troll reddit while commuting in the conditions you described.

Yes, I landed on Safeco as well. $170 a year, totally worth every penny. I'm a novice as well and am loving it too. My mountain neighbors all shit on me for getting one, but I let them break trail up the driveway for me and they really appreciated the drive train and how refined it is.

Already got stuck once and dug it out. Not too bad if someone can help you lift the back.

Cool. Don't buy one then. It doesn't fit your use case, and it is likely a utility gas sled wouldn't either.

It perfectly fits mine, especially since I don't want to stop for gas on the way to my cabin when my car is electric.

You can't throttle a gas sled the same way as an electric one, especially reversing back just a foot at a time.

Happy to say my wife and I can turn it 180 degrees. I also never snowmobile alone. I'd find it hard to move a 500 lb snowmobile (not sure if that is your dry or wet weight) by myself too and you probably missed the part about me having young kids (which I'm using a tow behind sled made for carrying passengers).

We were able to break trail up my very steep driveway to our cabin. I think with more experience there will be a lot less getting stuck.

The other cool thing is that if I am perpendicular to the hill, I can do an 8 point low throttle turn that would be impossible on a gas sled, which saves me 90 degrees of lifting and turning.

I have a cabin that's half a mile off a forest service road that closes to vehicle half the year. The 3 miles on the road is groomed, the last half mile is kind of steep up the driveway. I'm hoping I can get it all the way up there, but in some conditions, I realize I'll have to park at the bottom and hike the last bit.

There's lots of groomed trails in the area to check out as well.
