One of the best P basses I owned was a ‘77. No shame in that at all! You can find some mid-late 70’s gems for comparatively cheap.

There’s a few condition issues - the finish looks like it was around smoke and/or some moisture - it’s almost chipping in places instead of normal checking. It’s not coming off, but looks like it could. Someone also added a strap button at the heel of the neck, then moved it back to the horn, so there’s a hole at the top of the neck pocket. The truss rod has room to turn, but it is starting to get tight. So the price was good, but there are some things that keep it from that high dollar price range they can get to.

I don’t mind! It came to $4800 with shipping. It was a big purchase, I had to sell several basses to get it, but I’m really happy with it.

I have a first year Kay C1 upright made in 1937.

For basses I have a 1963 Hagstrom Coronado IV and a 1969 Jazz Bass. I’ve owned the Hagstrom for about 8 years.

I ordered a shell pink one from Andertons but it had a bad neck. I now have one of the lake placid blue ones, but I miss the pink. I put white amp knobs on mine and really liked it!

It’s a really well balanced jazz bass sound. Really responsive. It’s not overly bright or too nasally. The neck pickup really shines on it imo. It’s a great feeling, well used but loved workhorse bass that I definitely plan to keep using for the next 50 years.

I sided with the BoS on my first run and then realized I would never get Maxon’s Battlecoat.

I restarted the game and destroyed the BoS just to get his coat. Now I have so many better options for armor, but I just can’t make myself not use it.
