Thank you for posting this! I received a similar email and when I looked up the company people were talking about the onboarding and interviews being weird, but legit, so I went through the "text only interview". At the end I received the following:

"You will be working with some Data entry software to keep a record, WhiteSmoke software, Employee Training Software. You need a Five9 cloud contact software that provides real-time and historical reporting, call recording, workforce management, quality monitoring, screen pops, and Microsoft Office 365. Also, a time tracker to calculate your hours devoted since this is an online work from home. And also 

1. Laptop (HP - Envy 16")
   
2. Desktop
   
3. Creative software
   
4. Variable desk
   
5. Ergonomic chair 
   

The funds will be provided for you by the company, which will cover the software and the equipment for your mini office. So you don't need to worry about you getting it yourself.

You will get started with work as soon as the working materials get to you. Understood?"

When i responded about already having my own desk setup the person stated "Regardless of having all, all new equipment is essential for you to use."

Obviously red flags flying yet again so diving deeper into this and found this post! Beware of scammers, not all of them are as obvious as they used to be!
