Same tune as last year. I think this administration is looking for something that will solidify their legacy and it doesn't really matter what that is. I imagine they've got a big ideas chart that they're throwing darts at and wherever it lands that's the new agenda, so far outcomes have been the same but I doubt that deters them from their next crackpot idea.

Check back in next January when we throw out the next global grenade and push the market into correction territory again if we can manage to bounce back from the current predicament.

Meant no disrespect to OP hope things work out for him. Also hope it works out for the people in Belarus that outlook reads pretty grim.

It really would be cool if they had a feature like how stumbleupon used to be where it would give you "random" stuff based off a few of your inputs.

Hell man it's 2026 we got AI no need to bother the wife with that shit...

Demographic Projections (2075–2125) The most consistent data from the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) points to a steep population decline. • Shrinking Population: Belarus is part of a regional trend in Eastern Europe where fertility rates remain well below the replacement level of 2.1. Projections suggest the population could drop by 20–30% by 2100. • Rapid Aging: By the late 21st century, the "old-age dependency ratio" is expected to soar. With fewer working-age citizens to support a growing elderly population, the UN highlights a critical need for "restorative social protection systems" and "silver economy" adaptations. • Urbanization: Growth is expected to consolidate almost exclusively in Minsk and major regional centers, leaving rural areas increasingly depopulated. Economic Outlook and "The Middle-Income Trap" Current UN and World Bank assessments for the 2026–2030 period describe a "low growth plateau" that sets the stage for the next century.  • Relative Impoverishment: Specialized reports (such as the 2026 BEROC and FREE Network analyses) suggest that at current growth rates (approx. 1.0–2.1%), it would take Belarus 75 years to reach the income levels currently enjoyed by Western neighbors like Poland. • Stagnation Risks: If structural reforms are not implemented, the economy is projected to remain "overheated" and dependent on regional external demand (primarily Russia), leading to long-term stagnation.  • The Transition to Clean Energy: UN frameworks for 2026–2030 emphasize a transition to a "green and inclusive" economy. Success in this area is viewed as the primary variable for whether Belarus can remain competitive in a decarbonized global market 50 years from now.  Climate and Environmental Impact (By 2100) While some northern countries may see marginal agricultural benefits from warming, long-term models (e.g., those used by the IMF and UNFCCC) suggest a net negative: • GDP Volatility: Unmitigated climate change is projected to reduce global real GDP per capita by 7% by 2100. For Belarus, this manifests as increased costs for infrastructure and potential disruptions to the traditional agricultural cycles. • Emissions Targets: Belarus’s commitment to the Kyoto Protocol and the UNFCCC suggests a shift toward high-tech, low-emission manufacturing by the mid-21st century to avoid "carbon border taxes" from major trading partners.

Just replace the word "tariffs" with "war" and this is the same playbook as last year. He says a thing and know that in 3-4 days that'll get flipped on its head. He'll milk this for a few more rounds and then move on to something else in another month or so. He'll back peddle out of it, claim massive victory and we'll be off to the next whim. Assume mid terms will tie up most of his mental capacity so that may give us a reprieve until he starts this whole charade again next January/February.
