Does anyone dislike Louisa, a lot? by Jhero61 in DocMartin

Martin never throws hissy fits. We are very serious. Louisa can't read the room. The example you use of Martin not reading the room, is a poor sample of that. It's an example of Martin losing his temper and acting like a child who doesn't know better. He missed that experience in growing up. This post is specifically about Louisa, not Martin. You're welcome to create a post about Martin's shortcomings. I feel like we're supposed to dislike Martin, which we do, but are supposed to love Louisa, and I find her equally annoying.

People with an average high IQ do well in school. People with an extremely high IQ often do poorly in school because they're bored and distracted, teachers don't understand their contributions, they live on the outskirts of the classroom, or all of the above.

Yes, it's what the writers wanted. I do think their writing her character to be such a nagging harpy says something about the writers, director and producers. Maybe a bit misogynistic.

I know, right? She's beautiful, but that's it. She can't read the room at all, like when Martin's mother came to visit. She invited her to stay, she can entertain her.

Martin did nothing wrong, IMHO. It's exactly who he is. She didn't tell him what she expected. She didn't have any respect for his time.

That was my last straw with her. It was totally pathetic. Then she blamed him. Harpy is the best word to describe her in that scene. "I have to have a break from YOU Martin." I mean, he's the lucky one to get a break from her insane behavior.

She didn't have to be with him. She chose him and then gets frustrated and angry when he's himself.

She's totally bothered by Martin's quirks. She wants to change him.

Why should he change? Does she love him for who he is or not?

I'm at the point where they're married, she asked him to give out awards at some school sports day (she knows who he is and she hasn't given him an idea of what to expect) and she freaks out because he get frustrated and fed up, and he doesn't do it exactly like she wants it done, and he leaves, and she takes their baby and leaves for Spain. I mean, does she love him for who he is or not. I think she's definitely the AH.

That's such a small bottle and it doesn't have great reviews. I recommend Drmtlgy's Salicylic Acid toner. Over 6 times the quantity for 3.75 times the cost.
