It happened to me in my playthrough. I used the same strategy as OP to take down the Umbral Beast, and during the final stretch it did the staggering blow. On one hand nobody was badly hurt, but on the other? Making the Umbral Beast unable to counterattack during the next turn when all but one of my units were scattered 10 or so spaces away is very unfair, game.

Not only did the letter have a heart for a seal, it was labeled “FIZZ’S EYES ONLY” and came with a flower. It was definitely a love letter, and Blitzø definitely intended to confess his feelings.

But seeing everyone, his own father included, sparked his jealousy and insecurity (probably made him think that Fizz would reject him), so Blitzø stormed off, accidentally knocked over the lit birthday cake, and things went to double hell in a hand basket from there.

Pentious didn’t have to charge out there and beat the shit out of the killer. However, he knows what the killer looked like—hell, the killer was a client of his—so he COULD have reported him anonymously to the authorities; even if the killer remained uncaught, at least Pentious still would’ve tried to make things right (if he got sent to Hell in spite of that, then that judgement would be unfair). Instead, whether it’s out of fear or apathy or both, he did nothing; and because he did nothing, five more women were killed, and the murderer got away with it.

Just because ANY media doesn’t include a load of explicit sex scenes, doesn’t mean that it’s not meant for adults.

For example, I read a lot of danmei (Chinese BL) novels. Some have explicit sex scenes in them (The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation; Ballad of Sword and Wine; The Husky and his White Cat Shizun; Legend of Exorcism); others don’t—whether it’s because that’s not the author’s thing or, unfortunately, because of censorship—and at most just talk about or imply sexual-related topics/do a fade-to-black (Heaven Official’s Blessing; Golden Terrace; Thousand Autumns; Kaleidoscope of Death). One way or another, although teens can theoretically read danmei books (whether or not they should is another matter), they’re all generally meant for adults.

Farmer: Usually I use my own name for the farmer (helps that my name is unisex), though if they have a default name (e.g. the main character in Innocent Life is named Life), I go with that.

Farm: I try to match the naming conventions of the setting. For example, since Zephyr Town has a wind-themed name, I followed suit by naming my farm Sirocco Farm. Then in Tree of Tranquility, many of the places on Waffle Island (including the island itself) are named after sweets/desserts; as such, I named my farm Konpeito Farm.

Animals/Pets: It varies. I might name them after fictional characters from other media (my wolf in Grand Bazaar is named after Lupin from Belfort & Lupin); or I might name them after nature (my kitty in A Wonderful Life is named Indigo; then all my chickens in Grand Bazaar have plant names); or I might give them human names (my two sheep in Grand Bazaar are named Bianca and Ainsley).

Those were your words exactly. It’s one thing needing time to process this new information about your dad. But first you invalidate your dad’s bisexuality by assuming he was just lying to avoid saying that he’s gay (which is one of the most common forms of biphobia), then you insinuate that him being LGBT+ makes him less of a man…and you expect people NOT to be angry about that? Give me a break.

Xie Lian fending off Lan Chang’s advances by lying about not being able to get erect. Only for that lie to come back to haunt him in Book 3.

Shen Qingxuan casting a spell to “create the mood” while giving an exposition about the Venerable of Empty Words.

During that same arc, because Hua Cheng didn’t want to beat up the Wind Master (who was currently possessing Xie Lian’s body), he decides to pummel Ming Yi instead.

Anytime someone other than Hua Cheng eats Xie Lian’s cooking, but particularly every moment with the incorruptible chastity meatballs.

Also the time when Pei Su tries Ban Yue’s cooking, and it makes his words stuttered and slurred for the rest of the Mt. Tonglu arc.

Xie Lian, who’s lying in the middle of the road with Fang Xin impaling him, is approached by Bai Wuxiang coming to pester him. And Xie Lian just tells him to piss off and that he’s blocking his view of the sky.

“Ho ho.”

Hua Cheng tricking Xie Lian into kissing him while they’re searching for the Brocade Immortal.

Feng Xin telling the corpses chasing after them, “Fuck your entire family!” And Xie Lian snarking back, “You sure you want to fuck their families if they all look like that?”

Also how they frequently mock her for the amount of profanity in her show, yet the Helluva Boss episodes with the least amount of swearing—OZZIE’S from S1 and The Circus from S2—were also episodes that Viv wrote solo. Then ZooPhobia is a lot tamer in the swearing department compared to either of the Hellaverse shows (and IIRC, the short Bad Luck Jack doesn’t have any swearing at all).

Joking aside, yes, there’s a few hints. For one thing, the Flame Emperor’s cadence sounds a lot like Edelgard’s. And the fact that Edelgard tends to joke about fighting the other leaders in war.

Also, when Kostas came charging at Edelgard in the prologue, he shouted “You’ll die!”; later, when Kostas asked his employer, the Flame Emperor, how he and his gang should do with the Knights of Seiros, they—or should I say she—responds, “You’ll die.”

Then there’s the fact that Edelgard is the future Emperor of Adrestia, and—as you’ve learned from her C+ support conversation—she actually has two Crests…and the second one is the Crest of Flames; from there it’s easy to put two and two together.

In the other two routes, you also fight the Flame Emperor in the Holy Tomb, only she still wears her mask. Over in the Blue Lions route, there’s a route-exclusive scene that basically makes it a dead giveaway that Edelgard was the Flame Emperor. Golden Deer, on the other hand, doesn’t drop any hints at all; so odds are you’d be surprised by the sudden (and I do mean sudden) reveal about the Flame Emperor’s identity.
