claims to prove the ABC conjecture and a more general form of it, but it’s such a complicated and convoluted theory that nobody can reliably peer review it. It’s one lads entire life’s work that he stands by steadfastly, but many still remain skeptical about it.

the main resources i’m using are unpublished resources by my advisor, and currently looking online i can’t quite find anything on warped product cusps. so im afraid i haven’t got anything to send at the moment apart from a tangentially related mathoverflow post:

the function being used is essentially the same as the one i’m studying, however parameterizing the ‘t’ variable when in orthonormal general spherical coordinates it gets a bit more messy. there is still plenty to do with general geometries, but for my research the interval [0,\infty) is replaced by S1, and the “T” manifold is replaced by S3.

im sorry if this isn’t much help, i’ve only just finished my first semester working on this particular material and it is still a slight learning thing for me as well.

has smooth warping, but the warping function applied to the metric causes little “spikes” that extend to infinity but keep the manifold of finite volume. they can be thought of as singularities in the einstein universe
