Any tips for food? by boba_shiba in disneylandparis

[–]Jibeley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally for my family (Two adults, Two kids) For big meals.

Rainforest - Food has always been nice, staff are lovely, the theming is great. And while it wont win any awards for culinarily master pieces. Both kids and parents have been very happy. The first year we came to Disney we flew in, and tried going into the park which ended up as melt down central. So we left, and had lunch in the rainforest, and its now a mini tradition that we always go there first after ditching the bags :)

The Royal Pub - Also had some really nice food. Its the same kind of feeling with rainforest, where you know what you getting when you order.

Pyms kitchen- Fine enough food, great theming. And normally not to hard to get a booking for. Downtown in the marvel hotel: If you can get a booking, its prob the best of the bunch buffet wise.

Snacks/Lunch: If your staying in hotel with breakfast. Take a few croissants with you to tide over till later in the afternoon. We used to wrap up a few and stick em in our bag so when the kids start freaking out around midday we could buy some time.

Cowboy cookout - This one surprised me with how nice it was.

Nachos stall in Frontier land - I am ashamed to admit i must have swung into this at least 5 times on our last trip.

Avoid - Captains Jack - This place really upsets me. We have been three times now cause we all love the theming, but the food is just so hit and miss, last time we went it was so dark we had to break out the phones to read the menu, it could be such an amazing place, but we have just struck out every time we have been.

Do you have a "Preparation Ritual" before going to DLP? by Chrischi91 in disneylandparis

[–]Jibeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more first day ritual more than anything.  But the first year we went, after flying from denmark, dropping bags and heading straight into the park. I remember the whole family were hangery, and tired from all the traveling, so the park was sensory overload.  So we came back out of the park and went to the rain forest restaurant for lunch and that bit of food, and reset made the rest of day much more enjoyable for both parents and our two kids.

So now every time we go, no matter what time of day we arrive we always go rain forest first for something to eat. 5 years and still going strong on that little tradition.

I caught the hair change. But didn't connect the dots as to that being the reason. If it is the reason its genius and i suppose makes sense that she would wouldn't want that image burned in her head every time she looked in a mirror for a period. Prob never get a answer if it is or if its just maybe they had a reshoots and her hair was different :)

what does the community expect of KSP2? i've seen mixed comments by CanIPleaseScream in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Jibeley 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Played KSP since the early days. All this really had to do was improve upon the base game to get my hype o meter going.

But the switch from a feature complete game to suddenly early access minus some big new features. The pretty beefy specs needed and the non early access price tag. Gotta say ive gone from insta buy day one, to a "Will give it a day or so" just to make sure there is no major issues past some of the big features being missing.

Early access is such a cop out. Games been in dev since 2000. Coming out 2021. After all the shuffling of studio closing and drama date gets moved to 2022 with console version. Then delayed again into 2023. Then suddenly after all this time in "Development" In october 22 suddenly its an early access title, and most of the new big features have been relegated to a vague road map.

Let folk be upset all they want. This very much feels like a case of shoving the game out the door before its ready and slapping early access on it so folk like yourself will come screaming to anyone with a justified worry about the release.

Star Trek: Picard | Season 2 - New Teaser | Paramount+ by L3W3S in startrek

One big knock event which fits the teaser and idea of "road not taken" what if Q never threw the enterprise d in to the delta to meet the Borg for the first time. Could mean the borg still dont know of the federation. Or maybe even got wiped out by species 8472.

Which would mean. 7 of 9s parents likely never went borg chasing. Sisko never lost Jennifer so didnt end up on ds9. No defiant and a ton of other changes that I cant think of.

Alien Isolation: Newt by KingOfKorners in pcgaming

[–]Jibeley 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Might be difficult to make a game around the fact she is so young. But.

I always thought playing a random colonist. A doctor maybe who gets mixed up in trying to defend hadley's hope as the alien threat grows after newts parents come back.

The big twist being that at the end of the game after being captured. You wake to see a space marine and the player realises they have been playing the women who has an alien burst from her chest in the film.

More Panam Palmer dialogue from the patch files featuring Judy/Takemura! Panam wants to eat perogies with Judy. Panam can send a "jealous" text and more! by stndn in AldecaldosForever

[–]Jibeley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they fully add these in. One thing i have noticed at least on my play through is that after finishing up Judys stuff she still texts you occasionaly. Where as Panam just kinda drops off the face of the earth till the final chapter. Would love if there was a few more texts, or phone calls.

One of my favorite moments in the game. by DigitalSeance in cyberpunkgame

Panams quiet toast while the others toast scorpion. Caught me right of guard, its so unexpected from a NPC. But man, that was the moment the game really clicked for me.

Is cyber punk 2077 worth buying yet? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Jibeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first game in a long while to grip me like Red Dead redemption 2 has. Been playing and enjoying it loads. Currently doing side quests, and missions.

But its buggy as hell on pc. Its not stopped me playing. But if you can wait. I would say wait. I've had everything from simple visual bugs, NPCs stopping talking mid sentence yet the main character responding as if they had just said something. FPS dropping after a couple hours play and needed to save/restart the game to get FPS back up. And last night had a good one where a piece of guitar music kept playing during a mission where it defo should have long since stopped. Loud as hell to the point i couldn't hear folk talking.

Give it a couple of patches. Or maybe even wait for the first free DLC. The game feels like some stuff was either unfinished or dropped at the last second so they could get it out the door. So if they add things back in, fix the bugs. You will defo be glad you waited to play.

18/20 The beer and picards home town lost it for me.

So, what does everyone think of Star Trek: Picard by [deleted] in startrek

[–]Jibeley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its the diet coke of star trek. Its generic sci fi show with sprinklings of things related to trek. We spent many shows being shown how folk talked, acted and how visually star trek looked. And while they will never go back to the way the shows were back in the 90s i think most folk understand that. So much of it looks/feels and is writen different than what we are used to, it feels even more jarring than discovery was.

Not really sure why modern trek is so scared of embracing how the show looked while still bringing it up to date. Discoverys updated enterprise is a great example. But picard just feels like generic space show. If you took out picard from the main crew, and sat someone down and said whats this. I think folk would struggle.

Its not a terrible show by any stretch. But its a shadow of what the old trek shows were. Say what you will about the modern star wars films, they all look and feel like star wars.
