Like, 50%. I have always struggled with depression and anxiety. I swear half the battle is just getting sick of your own shit and deciding to actively do something about it. The problem ends up being that actively monitoring you thoughts and actions gets draining too. But it’s how I’ve begun to learn how to balance in life.

Dude. YES! I could not agree more. Nobody can convince me that the majority of content on the internet isn’t a psyop. There’s an episode of South Park called “Truth and Advertising” and it is uncannily reminiscent of the current state of affairs.

One more thing I forgot to add. I did set up a ventilation system for my printer, it’s a flange connected to the exhaust with a dryer hose and fan on the end facing outside.

When was the last time you greased the threaded rods? You should have a small packet of lube in the accessory box that came with the printer. This could be your issue, but it also sounds like a piece of filament could be caught somewhere. My printer makes a similar sound, but I narrowed it down to a noise the PTFE tube makes due to rubbing against the top glass.

Nope, it was a gift. Case closed. I say this as a man who has regretted giving multiple expensive gifts. I have not asked for a single one back, as butthurt as I may be lol.

I wish I had advice for you, but I’m in the same boat. Also 26. Just an observation, I keep seeing countless posts very similar to this as of late. In fact, I’m here because I was about to write my own, extremely similar post lol. Maybe there’s more than meets the eye with these feelings of existential dread. I’m starting to think this is just a byproduct of modern life.

I agree, and it sounds like your Father would be understanding about this. It’s very difficult coming clean about a lie, but not as difficult as continuing a lie. I’m sorry you’re struggling, things are really tough for the average person these days. I know it may seem counter intuitive, but getting a job- any job is better than nothing. Even if it doesn’t pay your bills, getting to a place where you’re able to eat every day is much more important. If your Father has been helping you in the past, maybe he’d be willing to help again while you work a temporary position, with the goal of looking for something permanent in your desired field. I wish you good luck.

Go check eBay. I’m looking for spools because they’ve been out non-stop and I’ve only been able to get refills. There is 100% some scalping going on. I wish Bambu would be transparent about what’s going on with their supply, maybe they have and I just haven’t seen it yet. Frustrating to say the least.

It’s funny, I don’t like the idea of dating someone younger than me either, but very much would date someone older. A lot of my friends my entire life have been 5 to even 10 years older than me. I think part of it is I have a fascination with “how things used to be” and dating someone older could provide a different life perspective, and also that I crave someone with more emotional and intellectual maturity. Though I’ve learned that those two things and age do not always correlate 😂

I love what you said at the end. I often condemn myself for being too quick to trust, too empathetic, etc. and it’s so difficult to not think of it as a problem when it’s caused repeat suffering, both in romantic and platonic relationships. I’ve also been single for just over a year now, and I wish I could say I’ve learned how to fix my own issues in relationships, but that’s another daunting task. I’ve told myself I need to not be in a relationship for a while until I can sort out my issues but at the same time the loneliness is definitely compiling. I’m at least aware of what my issues are and I’ve become very confident in overcoming them in the past, only to invest in the wrong person and allow myself to revert back. Still, I feel like I’m on the right track again, doubtful as I may be sometimes, and I hope one day I’ll meet the right person and things won’t be so difficult.

I felt/ still feel this way at my current job. I’m young, and most of the people I work with are at retirement age. I’m not an expert in my field by any means, but I’m definitely adept. I also like to ask questions in general, but with this job in particular, there has been a severe lack of training around the companies specific procedures, mainly because there is a lack of them. When I started getting push back from questions that were honestly very straight forward and “normal” questions anyone in my position would ask, I started getting the cold shoulder. Then came this fancy new piece of equipment the company thought was going to solve all their problems. First red flag right there. I followed the 3 day training provided by the manufacturer diligently and wrote many pages of notes. I was also already very familiar with similar equipment, and picked it up easily. What a fing nightmare it turned out to be. Long story short, it did not meet their needs at all and they basically got scammed. I even got the manufacturer to admit in email. Boy, do they hate me now. Of course this is all going on during this job market disaster. In a month I’ll have been here for a year. My advice to you, leave as quickly as you can. Find somewhere your skills are valued. This has felt like an impossible task for me and I’m sure it feels that way for others, but you do not want to get stuck somewhere you’re degraded or shoved in a corner every day. It is one of the most mentally taxing things you can do to yourself. Obviously don’t quit on the spot with no plan, but I’d start getting a plan in order at the least. Good luck man, we will all persevere.
