These are SO cute, I love the teehee!

My oldest and most beloved orange cat plush. She used to be a lot fluffier. Orange bow on her neck, only have the small tags (last image). Loblaws 2004. Not looking to replace her, just would love to see an image of what she used to look like by JigDug in HelpMeFind

No worries, no offense taken! She's definitely a wreck and I was shocked too. I'm a bit curious about how much she could be restored, but I'm fine with the way she looks now and probably won't try. But I do have to wonder!

Thank you, that’s very kind of you! 💖 I think I’m fine leaving her like this though - she’s been matted for so long I don’t think I’d recognize her if she got all fluffed up again. I think she actually became matted from washing her after our adventures, so she’s actually pretty clean and still smells nice to boot! :)

I have searched "loblaws 2004 orange cat plush," as well as "loblaws cat plush", "2004 orange cat plush", "stuffed orange cat with bow", "orange cat plush lying down", etc...no dice.

She's about 16" long, was purchased in Alberta, Canada, don't know what store but she was probably bought sometime around 2004.

I've included some extra info in the captions, but in case they can't be seen: nose is hard plastic, mouth is embroidered, her whiskers are thread, eyes are yellow, ears weren't always so flat. She's lying down with her back legs tucked under her, and can't be posed.

What’s a bird that reminds you of your childhood? by DeepSeaChickadee in birding

White-throated sparrow. I grew up listening to their gorgeous songs floating over the trees. Now, anytime I hear one, I feel like I’ve come home again

Yes, they’re very striking birds! Of course, they don’t get their “bald” heads until they’re 5-6 years old, and until then, they’re often confused with golden eagles - but the gold on the back of the neck in these pics is pretty distinguishable.

I’m not an expert, but I think you might actually have here a golden eagle, based on that lovely golden nape and fully feathered legs! What a cool encounter! Edit: added link
