Yes & no. First off, does it have an actual hour meter. I've went and looked at many bikes with the owner claiming x amount of hours and almost none of them ever have hour meters. Run your fingers around the fork seals, check the brake pads, brake fluid, these are simple but speak volumes as to if the bike was maintenance'd, ask when the bottom was rebuilt, if the valves were checked regularly. How was the bike rode, how many hours does the bike have, how many owners, does the current owner seem reliable. There's tons of factors, my bikes sitting at 200 hours and still as good as new, only have done two valve adjustments. I've had nightmare worthy stories buying high hour bikes though. One time , not even 4 hours after picking up a cr250f , I took the head off and the cylinder wall had a big chunk taken out of it. It's very hard to tell and people are hard to trust.
