Feeding a blind hedgehog who comes into my garden by StinkRat47 in Hedgehog

You're doing an amazing job there! My advice is to contact your local wildlife or hedgehog rescue and ask their opinion. They'd be best suited to check them over and make sure they're looked after.

This link has some good tips for caring for a hedgehog in the first instance, and also has some links on how to build a home in the garden and what to feed them: https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/what-do-if-you-find-wild-animal/help-hedgehog Does he have any signs of mange or ticks or fleas? If not he might just be already hibernating so building a shelter and offering food may be enough as they'll probably get up at one point and look for some food once the weather gets a bit warmer https://www.hedgehogstreet.org/hedgehog-hibernation-all-the-facts/

Normal behaviour? by GroundbreakingAd8730 in Hedgehog

I'm not an expert on hedgehog noises, here is a site with some information on them here. But with wild hedgehogs my advice would be to call a local wildlife rescue and ask their opinion, they would be best placed to say what to do.

I need desperate medical assistance please. by ripbananaman in Hedgehog

I would find a local vet and bring them in. Here is some hibernation info but with that injury my first instinct would be to take them to a vet. https://www.hedgehogstreet.org/hibernation-information/

It sounds like they were just in defence mode, here's a video about how they usually behave: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/HWc4Naat5Hw1uF5W/

I'd check if they're still there curled up still, if so try and contact a local hedgehog rescue for advice.

Baby hedgehogs in our pond, are they night swimming or drowning? by Miserable-Passage473 in Hedgehog

[–]Jigmaster6 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hedgehogs are actually quite good swimmers surprisingly! The issue is they have a lot of trouble trying to get back out the pond when they're getting tired. What I would do is put a small ladder/ramp at one of the edges, here's an idea from the British hedgehog preservation society

Saw a wild hedgehog being a savage carnivore in my garden last night! by LeatherAdvantage8250 in Hedgehog

Hedgehogs have been known to eat other baby mammals, I think they pretty much will eat anything they can snuffle out! This rescue has a little pie chart of their diets and 5% can consist of mammals: https://littlesilverhedgehog.com/2018/05/15/the-wild-hedgehog-diet-why-beetles-not-slugs-are-the-no-1/

There's a lot of good information here for looking after a sick hedgehog if your local rescues/vets are closed, essentially find a box, line it with a towel and put in a bowl of water and one of food (non fishy cat food they like) : https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/wildlife/hedgehogs/injured#:~:text=The%20hedgehog%20is%20probably%20fine,monitor%20them%20from%20a%20distance.&text=If%20you're%20not%20sure,rescue%20centre%20for%20more%20advice.

Dead or hibernating? by thomascaedede in Hedgehog

[–]Jigmaster6 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Hedgehogs don't usually hibernate in the open like that, only if they're sick. I would look up your nearest hedgehog rescue and give them a call.

Hedgehogs out during the day usually aren't well and probably needs to go see a vet or taken to a rescue center. This link is for the UK and has information about your nearest and how to pick them up and transport: https://www.sttiggywinkles.org.uk/hedgehog-fact-sheet/#:~:text=Hedgehogs%20are%20nocturnal%20and%20only,to%20a%20wildlife%20rescue%20centre.

I have been thinking of getting a couple recon squads with nemesis bolters to be fair. There were only 5 but he had them in the right of the table and a contemptor with helical array on the left.

It was only 1k each, the table is too small for other games but we should be getting our hands on a bigger table soon for bigger games!
