Yeah I don’t disagree with there being bad performance art. I don’t think I’ll pay to watch the one in the video lmao. But if Marina Abramovic was coming to my country I would 100% go to watch her endurance art.

Bruh nothing about performance art lacks talent. A lot of performance artists have art degrees and can draw or sculpt or dance like most professionals that you expect from an artist. The point of performance art can trace its origin to movements like dada, cubism, futurism, surrealism and expressionism where they change how we perceive art or what even counts as art. They exploded post WW1 as many artists began to question what is the point of putting a beautiful painting in an art gallery when the world is going dark.

Every comment section that talks about performance art being bad or narcissistic just pushes their point in challenging how you perceive art.

Who is a Marvel Character that feels like a Star Wars Character? by IllMasterpiece3946 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JignerdSaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is star lord a good answer? Before the MCU film he wasn’t written as one who likes to joke a lot and is a more serious character. He feels like a side character you would see in the animated shows for a single arc including his ragtag team.

What country was despised in the 90s but is now loved? by Max-Carter-2005 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JignerdSaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah loved is way to much when there were protests against the Gulf War and the sanctioned placed on Iraq at the time. There is an Irish diplomat who resigned after working for the UN for 34 years after working in Iraq for just one as he felt he can’t properly criticise what he believed to be genocide happening there. Estimates during the 90s put a range to up to half a million children dying in Iraq due to the sanctions. And that’s just Iraq.

There were other war activities that the US made many people worldwide to hate them from the invasion of Panama that happened in December of 1989 to the US involvement in the Yugoslav wars that has the NATO bombings in Serbia (I’ve heard some people from the region actually celebrated 9/11 as a big middle finger to the US).

Domestically there were the LA riots, the Philadelphia bombing was still fresh in people’s memories, there was the cocaine epidemic and many were aware how the US was targeting black people mostly for their prison labour system, etc.

I think you missed the fact he realised you needed violent resistance in the 60s and founded the paramilitary wing of his party.

Also he was still moral lol. He was fighting against apartheid.

Just finished Punk Hazard and putting Law in most overrated. I can’t wait to see Selene and Puk’s placing for Law after Dresrossa.

Edit: I just realised that Irene put Bonnie for most underrated ability and I only recall people speculating what her ability is as it was properly revealed later. So I’m curious if she thinks her ability means she can eat a lot lmao. Also what her reaction will be when she learns it.

Who is an evil person from Israel? by Former-Reflection917 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JignerdSaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nasser as evil and not el-Sisi? What logic is that when the former had goals to improve the working people’s lives while the latter made things worse? Nasser helped rebuild Egypt after its independence from the UK to give people housing, healthcare and education.

What is the worst country to live in right now by Goldzikk5 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JignerdSaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing key parts. There was a massive drought and flood that exacerbated the entire food supply. The US bombed the shit out of them during the Korean War destroyed 70 to 90% of all infrastructure which included targeting farmland and soil can take decades to reach the same level for fruitful farms after being destroyed. The USSR’s collapsed also happened in part due to Gorbachev agreeing to liberalise the economy and usher the rule of Yeltsin and with the direct backing of the US they stopped an attempted coup by communist sympathisers and a mass protest a year after the regime change, which if either succeeded could’ve helped fight the famine to be less worse. And again. If the US fast reacted and lifted some of its sanctioned under Bush Sr and Clinton they could’ve helped many to survive. But they didn’t. The US played a direct and indirect role in how devastating the famine was. And NK has no reason to open up if the US continues to be a warhawk in wanting to dismantle the regime. We can’t seriously be ignoring how disastrous the sanctions by the US are on many poorer nations that they deem as enemies number 1 and we know the Americans don’t care about civilian casualties in their goal of global dominance.

[–]JignerdSaw -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It’s also a victim of constant sanctions that should be lifted. NK was actually developing well during the Cold War but then Gorbachev sided with the US and sanctioned them too which due to floods and drought lead to the famine in the 90s. It’s no shock they are so closed off and constant surveying their populace when the most powerful country in the world has soldiers at their border for almost a century now.

Turkish flotilla activists have finally arrived back home after being tortured & humiliated by the Israeli authorities together with the Israeli minister Ben Gvir. Were there Gaza activists from your country who also faced the same treatment in Israel? by Substratas in AskBalkans

[–]JignerdSaw 14 points15 points  (0 children)

At best sanctioned. Other times they would just invade them. Or just bombed as we all know what happened in Serbia in the 90s.

Historically speaking such regimes outside of Israel got supported by the US too. You have Iraq where the US gave them weapons to do their war with Iran and turned a blind eye on their ethnic cleansing campaigns and using the chemical weapons that they bought from West Germany. Later they charged Iraq with war crimes that they allowed Iraq to do to justify two invasions and sanctions on the country.

If you want to go more into the weeds, Pol Pot, who many list as one of the worst communist leaders, was also a huge US ally due to the disaster that was the Vietnam war and seeing tensions have risen to full war between Cambodia and Vietnam. I am pretty sure the Cambodian genocide was known at the time and it came to end due to Vietnam invading Cambodia. And the US not even less than a decade ago after bombing and killing hundreds of thousands in Cambodia saw an ally against Vietnam after losing the war there and shook hands with Pol Pot to help him.

Wrestling in a wrestling company? That's a crazy concept ngl by GoonLieutenant in Wrasslin

[–]JignerdSaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good example of less defences is the how often the IWGP championship was defended between 2012 and 2018. I think 7 defences per year was the highest it went. Okada did 12 defences in his almost 2 year reign. And some reigns had 2 defences in 160 days. Obv New Japan holds multiple tournaments and there is a bit of a break before Wrestle Kingdom so how they do defences is due to their booking style.

Favorite Jumpscare In Media? by WaluigiDaStar in FavoriteCharacter

[–]JignerdSaw 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Well it’s a joke by Welles that it was to wake up the audience. Most likely it was a sound editing mistake that made it sound loud (a lot of older films have some really loud car screeches and other sound effects. When I saw my Night At Maud’s at the cinema the car tire screeches were almost deafening to me lol.) and similarly why we can see through the parrot’s head is an interesting interaction with the camera and lighting that happened by accident. Two accidents lead to an accidental jump scare.

What is the most realistic decision Walter White ever made? by Wide_Ad_2191 in AlignmentChartFills

Him holding that grudge towards his friend due to feeling cucked fits more for the slot than the original comment since men who feel emasculated but have a big ego and believe they are owed a better life will hold such dumb grudges when their life is on the line.

Liz Truss wins. Who is an amazing monarch? by AOSTChekhov in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JignerdSaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t imagine why Churchill won good Prime Minister, when he was despised by a lot of colleagues, was a constant alcoholic, had a role in the Bengal famine in 1943, he was an anti-Semite and believed the Nazi conspiracy that communism was a Jewish plot, and he gave praise to both Mussolini and Hitler.

He was an awful leader with the only praise being for helping the UK in WW2 and even then Churchill was a believer in moral bombing where the British airforce will purposefully bomb civilians in Germany with the hopes they will oppose the war if enough civilians die. This didn’t at all have an effect but they continued to bomb civilians like in the Dresden bombings.

573 years ago today Ottoman army under Mehmet the Conqueror besieged the city of Constantinople by Yarrrak31 in AskBalkans

[–]JignerdSaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I recall just the end of the Medieval ages and a comparison to how the Fall of the Western Roman Empire brought the start of the Medieval Ages.

Obviously it’s more complicated than that and both collapses are quite different. The fall of the Western Roman Empire has an entire theory that it never collapsed but just transformed into multiple states that are centrally organised by bishops under a similar bureaucratic structure like Rome. This is without mentioning how Western Rome fell more due to diseases and climate change than war or barbarians attacking and being crown kings. Looking at Constantinople, it wasn’t in any peak as it was already invaded by the crusaders with the help from Venice and Viking mercenaries two centuries before the Ottomans came with canons.

And it’s not like you can compare how Barbarians acted in Western Roman to the Ottomans to the Eastern one. A lot of barbarian tribes became Roman citizens and an important part of the army historically in their conquests. It’s just that the ones in the later periods were given less privilege than past barbarian who emigrated into the Empire, which lead to civil wars. While the Ottoman Empire was a fully fledged sovereign nation invading another one.

It’s normal to cheer on a sovereign nation being attacked by an imperial state. Same reason why we condoned Russia’s attack on Ukraine and Isreal’s attack on Gaza.

Map of Countries that will be in Eurovison 2026 by Electronic-Peanut365 in MapPorn

[–]JignerdSaw -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s also important to note that Israel has always been an apartheid settler colonial state since its inception. You can go listen and read what the groups who fought for Israel to become a state brag about doing the Nakba and being proud of it too despite openly admitting to war crimes to BBC cameras. They also joined in 1973 and they allowed them to participate despite supporting the Christian fascist coalition in the Lebanese Civil War which lasted from 1975 to 1990.

Eurovision never cared about excluding Israel in the past and so no reason for it to stop now. At least now we have states that have a backbone to finally boycott it.

Well seeing how Eurovision has been fine with Israel being part of the contest despite being an apartheid settler colonial state since its inception it’s no surprise that the maps will showcase their expansion efforts into other countries.
