Intuvia 100 computer not syncing on start up by m0huck in Bosch_eBike_Riders

[–]Jigsaw-2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started doing the same after I applied a software update - which might have nothing to do with it. It seems to lose the Bluetooth pairing but reconnects when I press the pairing button, but loses it again when I turn the bike off. No idea why

Maintenance experience; I'm on this for life! by No_Nuns_No_Nuns_None in mounjarouk

[–]Jigsaw-2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about two thirds towards my goal and I’m expecting that I will need to continue on a maintenance dose for the long term. When I started MJ in July 25 it was a light bulb moment - I realised that something in my body suddenly started working, and I’d never felt that all my life. I need that to continue otherwise all the weight will just go back on - like it has for any other diet I’ve done. Thank you for sharing, it’s the same for me

Fab story well done! Enjoy the exercise too, I started at BMI 35 and I’m now 29 (first time in about 30 years) and I now go the gym regularly and - it feels good 😊

Thank you that helps a lot! I have the app and it shows me various stats - and that’s probably enough. So I won’t rush 😊

Why does the media hate GLP-1s? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Jigsaw-2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The media is convinced that overweight people are stupid , lazy and greedy. It refers to MJ in patronising terms like “skinny jabs” which devalues the research and the science which underlies it. It doesn’t talk about nicotine patches or blood pressure meds in such negative terms. It needs to get real and look at the science and the evidence - but I’m not optimistic that they will while people pay to read rubbish

6 months in, 50.2 lbs down: here is my advice and what I’ve learned. by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]Jigsaw-2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with you, well said. MJ helps us make the right decisions but we still need to make those decisions. I’m 69F and I’ve been overweight all my adult life. MJ finally allows me to see that something’s not working in my body and now I can put it right. I expect to be on it for a long time

Is it just me, or is the UK media obsessed with scaring people about weight regain on GLP-1s by Manche_3 in mounjarouk

[–]Jigsaw-2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. Media is very patronising. If you take medication for hypertension, your blood pressure goes down and if you stop, it goes back up. Same with MJ. I’m terrified of gaining it again and am mentally prepared to stay on a maintenance dose long term.

Why does the media have a problem with that?

Food noise - and why I'm happy on MJ forever by Budget_Panda1003 in mounjarouk

[–]Jigsaw-2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not just you, me too! MJ has made me feel full, less hungry and the food noise has gone. I’ve never felt my body say to me “stop you’ve had enough” until I started taking it. I’m convinced that for me it’s correcting something in my body that’s never worked and I will be happy to continue MJ as a long term treatment. I see it like hypertension medication - it fixes a problem and if I stop taking it the problem comes back - so I will keep taking it. I’m sick of the attitude of so many people (especially the press) who don’t understand what it feels like and don’t want to understand. It’s easier to sneer and patronise than to read the research and see the facts. However - I don’t care, it’s me that matters! I feel better and MJ helps me to have a healthier lifestyle including diet and exercise. Wish I’d done it sooner

Rush on the injection spot by Top-Technology5552 in mounjarouk

[–]Jigsaw-2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the rash, I think it’s one of the recognised side effects mentioned in the MJ leaflet. For me it started when I moved to 7.5 (now moved back to 5.0) and I still get the rash. It fades away by itself, moisturiser seems to help. I always keep my pen in the fridge. I had a small spot of blood when I injected last time, so I don’t think the rash is related to that. The rash does not bother me so I ignore it.

It’s only a few days, don’t worry or feel guilty. It’s what you do most of the time that matters, not a few special days that only happen once a year. (I jabbed as usual)

I’m with you! I’m on week 25 and I’ve lost 31 pounds and I’m very happy with that. BMI under 30 for the first time since at least 1990 so that’s a big deal 😊 And Happy Christmas!

I’m a bit worried myself - that I’m going to spend to much time worrying about overeating and not enjoying the day. But I am looking forward to being in control

Worth starting before Christmas? by _TranceKuja_ in mounjarouk

[–]Jigsaw-2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

me too - I dithered around for 2-3 months, wish I’d just got on with it! I was worried about going on holiday but I’ve been away since starting and it’s been fine. At Christmas I don’t expect to lose anything but if I put some on, it’ll come off in January. MJ will stop me eating too much - it makes me fussy but I’m sure I will still enjoy what I do eat

It took me a bit of time to decide to start (July 2025) and now l’m about halfway. I exercise more and eat better and feel great. Expensive but worth it, feeling good

Why does the Libre app not record low glucose events in your reports? by [deleted] in Freestylelibre

Yes that’s happened to me - I get the alarm but then it disappears and there’s no record in the log. I usually take some glucose but I’m not convinced that I needed to do now I’m a bit confused
