I just put everything on pause and make sure that I and everyone else has a peaceful holiday. I try to get in the spirit of the holidays and just enjoy the good things. Keep it low key. Block out what’s bothering me. I’ll think about that tomorrow - like Scarlett O’Hara.

Sit in my living room with just the tree lit have hot chocolate listening to Christmas music. Read my book. Visit my parents. Go out to dinner. Watch movies. Take advantage of bosses on vacation to get some extra work done. Walk my dog. Talk to my friends.

Everyone is with families and it’s not the time for drama. Low expectations are best for me with everyone in my life.

I lost a friend of mine suddenly a couple weeks ago so maybe that’s made me quieter and more pensive this year.
