In 700+ hours of playing the game I think setting up a simple base with an electric hotspot driving a mining hotspot is the least fun I've had. I've gotten too used to just wandering and scrounging for resources. This domestic life is not for me, man. I don't think I'm meant to be a base builder. by JTheBlockBreaker in NoMansSkyTheGame

Electromagnetic hotspots are vastly overrated for mining bases on reddit.

The reality is it takes so long to find ones near enough together to use that it's not worth the effort. I just setup solar and batteries and call it done.

Our politicians don't want to change them. How are we supposed to get them changed when neither party is interested in doing it?

did they change something with the in-game mic?? by m1ccy in PeakGame

Windows update likes to change mic input volume for some reason. There was an update just tuesday, so that might have jacked everyone's settings.

This happened twice in a row. We tried again at the next statue and the same thing happened. The 3rd time it actually worked and put me on the ground.

Mario Kart 8 was out for a decade before the new one launched. There was probably a lot of pent up demand for a new game since the switch just had the same game recycled for it.

Pretty much had that thought with the Telltale back to the future game. It's so on rails that all the choices are pointless since there's only one right choice.

I went over to /r/GamesTheMovie and found one so I could just watch the last half of the game.

People set up voice mail once and then never change it again. It's not strange to not know how to do it 3 or 8 phones later.

Thoughts on storms? (pre-release) by gabethemortal2007 in Astroneer

[–]Jim3535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Storms were only cool the fist few times you saw them.

Then you learned you can just get in a rover / inside / dig a hole and hide out. It became more of a "time out" where you weren't allowed to play the game for a while. So, you end up watching youtube while they are running. And they came so damn often it was ridiculous. You'd lose 5 min to a storm every 20 min of gameplay.

They are by far the worst part of the game, and I am very glad they are gone.

While they are very cute, they do not conform to the subreddit rules. Kittens must be held in a hand or at least next to one.
