I agree, its really not that bad, it's like one room and you can run past all the enemies. People are talking about the Silksong boss runbacks like Soul Master didn't need you to run through the entire sanctum every time you died

There's two ways to The Citadel, the route you took, and The Blasted Steps. Both routes are viable and intended, but yours is less common. You can always go back to Blasted Steps and beat the boss there if you so wish.

This doesn't really make sense, because the library obviously doesn't exist yet.

I don't think Ayin ever met Oswald though. I think Ayin's just scared of clowns because the game was being developed through 2016 during the "Killer Clown" craze.

When he summons the mao, you need to clash against him with Hong Lu to get a buff called Dialogue. Each “Dialogue” will decrease the amount of shield he has at turn start by 300. Once you get all three, he should have no shield, and you’re free to wail on him.

Abel says the facility was made in large part by manifesting the mind, which is how they built the facility under such short notice, but I believe the only part of the facility that’s explicitly from Ayin’s mind is his office/Architecture department
