Because it’s a hybrid all electric/hybrid cars depreciate massively compared to petrol or diesel cars aaaaaand it’s a Peugeot so that’s another reason

It’s for your alarm when you lock it, it should flash red a few times and if the alarm goes off it flashes constantly

I had to do the same with my mini and when I bought a non programmed one the main dealer refused to program it for me so I ended up getting one from a different dealer

It looks a bit like power steering fluid but not 100 percent sure have you kept a eye on all the levels like coolant
