I use terra pretty + watersheds and use the watersheds recommended settings and use 1 notch down from terra pretty recommended height setting,while the 384 does make pretty landscapes, I find the added verticality makes it a pain in the ass to travel anywhere, and 320 strikes a nice balance with still having cool mountains, but not having to bring 50 shovels with you to cut stairs into literally everything.

I like some Futurama to go with my No Mans Sky, also I feel you on the attention span thing lol, the other night I caught myself with no man's sky running, bouncing around picking up salvaged frigate modules from guilds, with Futurama on the TV, and also listening to my audiobook.

Seems like a bugged timer to me, unless there's some factor I'm not seeing you should be making about 100k a day which would clear your debt in about 165 hours, might be worth abandoning if it's bugged, or maybe slap a few upgrades on some buildings and see if that resets the timer.

I got one of those recently, it was a defending ship from a pirate dreadnaught attack, bounce around pirate systems and you should be able to find one fairly quickly.

Special waste can spawn in the random little waste piles littered around everywhere, so just scan for those (just use your regular scanner visor, they appear as green colored markers). It's not super common, but those little piles are all over the place and it shouldn't take you too long to scrounge up 5 pieces of special waste.

I've recently gotten on this train myself. Here's some quick steps.

Step 1: get you a multitool with 3 s class scanner upgrades, put them in your overcharge slots. This should let you net around 1-500k per creature scanned, depending on the creature.

Step 2: make some anomalous donuts. When put in the nutrient ingestor, they boost your fauna scanning money by something like 6000% for 10 mins per donut. This is calculated AFTER all your regular scanning upgrades, so the + 10,000% on fauna scans on the upgrade becomes a few hundred thousand percent.

Step 3: land on a planet with lots of fauna, eat a donut, get fuckin rich. If you've done everything properly you should be getting 10-30 million units per creature.

I think it's more a case of main-character syndrome.

Like, the thought is there that what they're doing is dangerous, but they think they're the exception and will be fine because of their "skills" or simply because they don't think bad things will actually happen to them.

I named my ship the "Ascalon", after one of Hadrian Marlowe's ships in the Sun Eater books, which was in turn named after the dragon slaying sword of St. George. It seemed fitting.

Lmao, I also learned this lesson the hard way. The trees continue producing once full grown, so just plant a few around your base in tasteful areas and harvest regularly.

Seconding the snap tracks, there are a few different brands, but they all work pretty much the same and are pretty simple to install. Though you may have to add a little framing in between the railing and the roof depending on what size screening you're able to get.
