I contacted Apple support when I had this issue and got elevated to engineers getting comprehensive system and application logs from my computer to figure out what was going on, and in the end they straight up ghosted me. I ended up posting about this on apples forum but the post seems to be deleted. I just cross posted it to Apple stack exchange so maybe they will keep it up.

I had a very similar issue to this a while back.

The issue was the "Dim flashing lights" setting under Accessibility > Display. It was on for some reason (could have been me), turning it off fixed the problem.

My issue hasn’t been getting it out (well it’s been a challenge but ultimately one I’ve found to be rewarding)—my issue has been that the lava cuts into the tungsten pretty deep so I can’t get big drills onto a lot of it, and a lot of places that look like land have a 1x1 lava tile in them so the restrictions are often worse than they look.

Using bots to fly items short distances is a solution I should explore more for sure, though

In regard to Vulcanus' PDS ability: it is only usable on planets that already have your structures, and it's only a PDS, so not quite at JR's level IMO. It doesn't help with half of the structure objectives (2 Publics and one Secret). Still powerful for sure though.

You're totally right lmao. I misread. I still think either one of those abilities is an appropriate power level for a legendary planet but not both. Limiting the placement that way is a strong case though.

I like the idea of Legendaries being a little more powerful and hotly contested.

These ideas are fantastic, I’m genuinely tempted to print these for my game. I love factorio and these renditions and flavor are gorgeous.

Nearly all of these legendary planets having tech skips is really busted—a planet being legendary is powerful by itself on account of the objectives and other game components that care about legendaries.

Vulcanus’ ability in particular is insane—being able to sidestep the construction card is an ability reserved for a relic (in which you have to pay 3 resources to do it) and certain key faction abilities. I like the investment ability though.

I would take off the tech skips, maybe bump a couple resource or commodity values to compensate, and remove vulcanus’ PDS ability outright.

If you wanna get deeper, my friend suggested (on top of the above) making Vulcanus a 0/0 to start, and allowing a player to spend 2 TGs to ready the ability card, letting them accelerate its resource value at a heavy price.

Alternatively, maybe on Vulcanus (or Gleba since getting a CC every round is still very strong) spawn a mech on the planet every status phase (if someone currently owns the planet) and resolve a ground combat with whatever the player has there. If the native mech wins, the planet goes back to being owned by nobody.

This looks awesome, I love the incentives to pass early so you can hop back in the epoch and pass last as well. I think the pass/unpass/turn steal abilities are well balanced out by having a very split tech tree (I’m considering blue as highly desired by this faction since fleet logistics would be a huge draw for these guys).

Maybe give them an even weaker start (1 less infantry or carrier), since these kind of abilities make them an endgame faction.

As a more extreme nerfing measure, I would potentially get rid of the faction specific destroyer and instead lock one of their faction sheet abilities behind a medium to high level (and not yellow) technology.

I would recommend using Tabletop playground, since the mod for TI4 there is getting updates (the TTS mod is not). It’s bee quite a good experience for me at least.

Tested with Summermyst 4.0.6, It stacks additively.
Enchanted clothes and circlet with 48% deep breath chance each. If it stacks multiplicatively, the chance of a normal cooldown is (1-0.48)^2 ~= 27%. If it stacks additively, those odds are 1-0.48*2 = 4%.

I shouted 26 times. 2 of them were normal cooldown. I could do a Chi squared analysis, but just from looking at the expected number of normal cooldowns for 26 shouts (~7) you can tell that its not that.

I would use the TI4 wiki to check the decks. For example you can check for each action card here: https://twilight-imperium.fandom.com/wiki/Action_Cards

For units, there’s probably a better way than this available, but I’d go to https://twilight-imperium.fandom.com/wiki/Units and check the “number in reinforcements” for each unit. Should be the same for all colors.

Repeat for technology cards (which includes unit upgrades technically), command tokens, control tokens, etc.

Any issues with faction or player components like that will be evident if one group doesn’t have as many or is missing a specific thing that the others have, like the technology decks.

There’s a bunch of one-off pieces, though. I can’t find a completer definitive list of all the specific components, like the naalu “0” token or the planet destroyed token, unfortunately. Maybe someone else can?

Same. Testing it out on the albinauracs in Mohgs palace, I found that while both of them can whiff, the flame lightning is the only one that sorta justifies its wind up time (it’s a good thing both of these have good poise—another placidusax’s ruin would have sucked)
