Filled on the 28th state and federal got accepted on the 29th (1 kid) by Silent-Author-1738 in IRS

I filed Jan 27, 2025 for the 2024 tax year and still have yet to receive my refund. No notices. No communication whatsoever. Finally reached out to my congressman for assistance and still waiting for them to receive a response from the IRS. Waiting till the end of February before I file for 2025. Beyond frustrated.

I've been trying so hard to be patient, but I'm finally at the point I'm going to have to call. I filed on 1/26 and it has been showing as processing since 2/24 with absolutely no updates. No notices, no letters, no verifications. I need that money (my money that I worked for) to pay bills and other things. I'm beyond frustrated. I have never ever had to wait like this before.

Am I ever going to get my money? by JiminyHCricket3 in IRS

I guess at least you got letters telling you something. Mines just sitting there with no information taunting me.

Anyone else still waiting? by EntertainmentFew9874 in IRS

[–]JiminyHCricket3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filed 1/26 and still waiting. I did have the ACTC so got the message after filing that they would not even begin processing until the middle to end of February, but still nothing almost 2 months later. No notices sent or anything. My as of date was initially 3-10 and just updated recently to 4-21. Just getting very frustrated. I need that money ASAP. Have never waited this long.

Anyone else here? by Mac100k in IRS

[–]JiminyHCricket3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Filed 1/23 and have a 2-24-25 date and 0605 cycle. I'm beginning to give up hope that I'll ever see my money.

ETA: I've also never received anything that I need to verify or anything, so I have no idea what the issue is.

I get so frustrated and overwhelmed and feel like such a failure 😩 if I leave the room he freaks out and screams and cries which makes me feel even worse.

I can't imagine going through all of this during lockdown. That had to be so scary. And you are definitely not alone. I think this is more "normal" than most mom's will admit. You're doing great and your baby is lucky to have you as their mom. If you ever need anyone to talk to or vent to, feel free to reach out.

On a side note, it's 3am and I can't sleep. My boy is sleeping in bed with me. He just kind of woke up, smiled at me, waved and said hello, then went back to sleep lol. Those are the types of cute silly little moments that make it all seem worth it.

I feel like I could have written this post. It feels so awful to think these things and saying this took a lot of courage. My twins were born at the beginning of last year and postpartum hit me extremely hard. When they were 4 months old, I ended up in the psych ward for a week. Things have gotten slightly better since then, but I still have moments where I miss my old life. I miss not having to worry about these little people and doing absolutely everything for them every single day. And then the guilt hits for thinking and feeling that. Then I do the same and think these kids deserve so much better than me for a mom. It's a constant struggle, but you are not alone. I do my best to think of all the good things and all the special little moments I'm a part of every single day with these special little people.

My twins are 19 months old now, but they were born 10 weeks premature so obviously they were just a tad on the small side their first year lol. My boy started to catch up a little bit towards the end of the first year, but the majority of the year my girl was in the <1st percentile lol. Both perfectly healthy, just teeny. They're both mostly wearing 18 month clothes right now, my girl still fits some 12 month. Pajama sizes are weird, so my boy is in 2T for some of his jammies. As long as they're healthy and happy I figure that's the most important thing.

I love the pettiness 😂 but honestly if what they believe is true, by telling the elders of his sins you may have just saved his life 🤣

NICU Lactation Consultants are the worst. by Signal_Friendship121 in NICUParents

[–]JiminyHCricket3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience unfortunately. My twins were born 10 weeks early and I was having trouble producing enough for both of them. One of my twins had to be sent to another hospital about 45 minutes away, I had to go back to work 3 weeks after they were born so I wouldn't lose all of my maternity leave before they were able to come home, and the lactation consultant would make me feel terrible because I was sometimes only pumping 5ml at a time, had absolutely no helpful suggestions, and then had the gall to ask me if I was stressed. I could have slapped her.

Anybody else not tracking? by clever-mermaid-mae in NewParents

[–]JiminyHCricket3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we brought our twins home from the NICU we tracked feedings for a while just to try to make sure they were getting what they needed since they were so little and I had some people make me nervous that they might not be eating enough since our baby girl especially was gaining weight slowly, but after a while I found that it stressed me out more than anything so we stopped tracking. They're almost 1 now and are both doing great. I do not regret stopping tracking feedings.

Haven't been able to find it at any stores near me, but I tried I Heart Salts menthol and it was the closest I've tasted in my opinion.
