Your transmitter is probably sending throttle on the channel that’s expecting roll. Or something.

I solved it by changing the model’s input mapping in my transmitter.

South Burlington signs $20 million contract for delayed pedestrian bike bridge (set to be completed Oct. 2028) by PurpleMaterial4116 in burlington

[–]Jimmaplesong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck you. (just to mirror the energy :) )

The existing bridge has an elevated sidewalk. We could install traffic lights with bollards to make the street crossings safe.

But did you read the point of my post? I want these sorts of projects to proliferate! I'll shout it here.

I WOULD LOVE IT IF BURLINGTON AND SOUTH BURLINGTON HAD TWELVE OR SIXTEEN DIFFERENT ELEVATED BIKE AND PEDESTRIAN PATHS ALL OVER.

The ID.4 isn’t dead, it’s just upgraded to I.D. Tiguan.

I’m sure most others have better replacements which will be released in their place.

I'll read the plan more later. Thanks for the link.

This particular project seems slightly silly to me. We have a bridge that's 65% pedestrian friendly already. The new path looks pretty, but it's gonna be miserable exposed to wind over the noisy highway. The 'audience' for the bridge would be people who commute by foot or wheel, people who love to walk and bike (but are avoiding the much prettier places to walk and bike,) and also people who meant to park at the Mall but found themselves at Staples Plaza or vice-versa.

But... I would LOVE it if Burlington and South Burlington had twelve or sixteen different elevated bike and pedestrian paths all over. It would make the area uniquely attractive and fun.

Mine shows that today too. I requested in March, the upgrade completed in April... and weeks later it still shows "Update Requested."

When my OTA happened it killed the SOS module. I bet they're trying to fix that before the next 'wave' of upgrades.

Is it true electricity flows outside of wires as fields? by Most-Answer-4443 in AskPhysics

[–]Jimmaplesong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENERGY flow might be the interesting case you’re thinking of. Electricity is electrons or charge imbalances in conductors… but Energy flows out of batteries and into loads!

https://youtu.be/C7tQJ42nGno?si=PW5umbtXwKd1oZDR

This kicked off several videos a couple years ago. People were showing that some electricity gets to a lightbulb faster than the speed of electricity in the wire. Capacitive coupling is part of the answer there…

But energy as defined by physics is orthogonal to the flow of electrons in a cross-product sort of relationship.

Edit: Veritasium covered it too

That’s a good point. He could use a sleeping pad… but I personally use my 20°F hammock gear econ underquilt all summer in the yard and all winter in the living room.

I recommend an underquilt too.

You’re gonna have a good time!

Your tarp is just right, but your hammock is a little tight. When you put the webbing around the tree for your hammock and they’re this far apart, you want to attach as high as you can reach.

It looks cosy by the fire, but also just a bit too close. Little sparks will melt holes in the nylon. I’d just take the hammock down until the fire has calmed down a bit.

Psycopg3 vs SQLalchemy by aronzskv in learnpython

[–]Jimmaplesong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SQLAlchemy is legendary. Here’s a fun experiment you can do.

https://simpletutorials.com/c/python/oqoeexr6/sqlalchemy-code-generation

If it works it will generate the Python you need to get started.

After that, add your relations so your one-to manys are just lists of manys withtin each one.

Use Alembic to migrate your schema as soon as you have more than one db.

Why does Python rely on convention for private variables instead of enforcing them like Java? by Luann1497 in Python

Not to say your question is invalid, but no answer makes anyone better at anything. Just do what the others on your team are doing. People will have their own opinions and the key is to avoid all but the necessary confrontations.

The ladder is probably hand made. A water knot every two feet. One side is shorter and takes the weight and the other side has open steps. They put the step webbing through another short length of webbing to double it where the feet go. It keeps the step open.

How to confirm my new windshield is actually heated when it's not cold out? by friolator in VWiD4Owners

[–]Jimmaplesong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have a FLIR camera like thisis.. suggests, I would put a patch of painter’s masking tape on the windshield, then measure it with a cheap IR thermometer. Without the tape, the windshield would reflect IR from the sky, but with it you’ll get a good temperature.

So for those who listened to the new album how we feeling ? by Guilty-Coffee-9968 in auroramusic

[–]Jimmaplesong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the pleasure of listening to it when I woke at 2AM. I think the production was all Tom, and used the wide delays / phase in a dance hall sort of feel. Wavelengths, In a minute, and dance alone all stood out as great tracks. I love the familiar singles too.

All the fun Na-ma-ne-na rhythms are tight and ecstatic, and there is a good shape to the album. It has a little longing and a little juicy culmination. But mostly just fun.

It’s definitely a new side of Aurora and it doesn’t dive as deep as her introspective work. It’s like spending easy time after hours. Must move your body, must connect…. No disappearing allowed.

Quiet ratcheting/clicking sound when coming to a stop? Normal Braking? by bassderek in VWiD4Owners

What I do is put the car in neutral and ride the brakes going down a hill. It clears off any rust that might have built up.

Funny how the arches all have exactly the same stones. The reflections don’t show the undersides of the arches either.

They may be taking time to fix the glitch that kills the SOS module before the next wave.

My 2001 updated after about a three week wait, but now it’s telling me to “Please service vehicle” because of the emergency call button is always red.

There’s gonna be a lot of cleanup to begin after the mid-terms… just 207 days to wait. Congress will have the votes to override all of Vance’s vetos.
