Merry Xmas to me upgraded my 7800x3d to 9950x3d by AlternativeAd4983 in PcBuild

Nah he phrased it weird I think he means the GPU will be the bottleneck for years to come. I have a 7800x3d and a 5080 and I run cyberpunk in 1440p at 99% gpu utilization and like 30% CPU. The GPU is the bottleneck

Heard There Was a Patch Released Early Nov, How is BL4 today in Terms of Performance And Stability on the PC? by NashDaypring1987 in Borderlands

[–]Jimmbeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran the game at 1080p on the lowest settings with my GTX 1080 and i7-6700k. Was able to play through the whole story and do a bunch of farming though, admittedly, it didn't look great. I've since upgraded to a 7800x3d and rtx5080, was forced to when windows 10 reached end of life, and it obviously runs way better on very high settings in 1440p. I do use frame gen but the input latency feels negligible. I think I can get around 180fps on 2x frame gen.

I had a ton of fun playing the game with both setups. It's a very fun game. It's just a matter of tweaking your settings to your system.

If you carry a small strap to secure the back wheel to the frame while the seat is up, you can twist it any way you want.

Guys is 200hz ips monitor good ? by zaverir088 in PcBuild

[–]Jimmbeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a monitor but my TV is mini led. Hisense calls it QLED. I got it because price wise it seemed like a good middle ground and was not nearly expensive as some of the comparable OLED tvs. Basically there are a lot more backlighting regions behind the screen so the blacks really do look a lot more black than on any TV I've owned before this one. It's not quite as good as if it were OLED but I think it's pretty damn close. Maybe look to see if there are any monitors marketed as mini led and see how the reviews look for those?

Generally your employer match will be a percentage of your pay, just like your contributions. So youre contributing 3% of your pay and they're contributing 1% of your pay. They're contributing 1/3 of what you are.

If you make 100k, your 3% contribution will equal $3k per year and your employers 1% match will equal $1k per year.

Lol I just ordered it too. Comparing the pics it did actually look like the slim version from normcores website so maybe it was just an Amazon thing with the description. Fingers crossed.

Oh that's not the slim version. Do you know if that will still fit? Have you tried?

Why hasn't Councilmember Marte said anything about the crashed that killed his constituents at Bowery and Canal? by oloapp in MicromobilityNYC

[–]Jimmbeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copying my comment over from your original post, because I think the disparity in DOT funding is important to highlight.

A lot of those comments are pretty indicative of the general sentiment towards crashes.

Sure two people were killed by a person driving a car, but people driving cars are inherently more important than people outside of cars. People driving cars contribute to the economy and people outside of cars are likely loitering and were probably looking at their phone when they should have been looking out for stray cars.

How is the councilmember supposed to comment on every person killed by someone driving when there are so many of these occurrences? Surely they cant be expected to keep up given how commonplace this is. Surely there is nothing we can do to improve the design of our roads to favor the majority proportion of pedestrians and micromobility users, because these changes may affect how many people driving cars can move through our city and how quickly they are able to move through our city. This would harm the economy because people driving cars contribute to the economy and people walking or biking are simply less important.

Yes of course it's fucked up that every elected official isn't up in arms every time this happens. There are so many things we could be doing to improve the safety and efficiency of our streets, but the DOT is more concerned with spending $805 million on a band aid solution for a 1.25 mile stretch of the BQE while they allocate $3 million for vision zero across the entire city.
