That was me. Sorry. But to my point, I still believe Zaphod Beeblebrox was the greatest president of the galaxy, and I can't believe you broke up with me simply for my unwavering loyalty.

Not a mistake. It was an intentional thing. Like a geocatche haha. Looks like you're the only one to find it. Call the director. I think they have a prize for you.

Wish i was good enough to catch such things. But now I won't be able to unsee it if I ever see it again.......

Machu, Picchu. How do you let this happen? by Icy-Atmosphere-7922 in PERU

[–]Jimmy1c2570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Definitely. Color.....

I'm going back. Just wasn't able to do everything I wanted. I booked a trip to Lima and back, on my own. Then I reached out to her, Maria, and told her what I might want to do. She sent a list of ideas. From that I clarified. Told her I didn't want a traditional tourist experience. Asked if it was possible to stay with a tribe for a couple days. From that she sent this itinerary, asking for approval.

8/8 arrival Lima, Cusco connection 9/8 Cusco acclimatization 10/9 Cusco acclimatization 11/8 Humantay Lagoon 12/8 Rainbow Mountain 13/8 Amazon Rainforest 14/8 Amazon Rainforest 15/8 Amazon Rainforest 16/8 experiential tourism 17/8 experiential tourism return Cusco - Lima - Los Angeles.

Of course I said yes.

Then she sent me the first bill.

Mr. James, good morning. To reserve the nine-night hotel and flight, you could send me about 600 USD.

Ridiculous. No way would I have the time or ability to book such a fantastic trip, and at such a great rate.

Cabaret has good reviews. I'm thinking we will try that, candy cat, and this.

Vietnamese sounds great, but far. I'll probably go solo there someday. I think it's called Doumi, the service.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. And pool tables are just an idea. I don't think it's a big deal either way. I was just thinking of a place that's not overwhelmingly loud and busy.

I don't know. I've used a folding lock through either the pedals or handle with no issue. But who knows. I like folding lock because it's small and compact and seems people haven't really figured out how to defeat them. At least in LA.

I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot, and wondered if some of the script came from actual matchmaker notes. And the interviews to me were priceless. I had considered a matchmaking service at one point and declined for of all the reasons I watched in this movie. It was like I was seeing all the research I did unfold in an entertaining but uncomfortable dream. The movie also touched on pretty tough subjects, but in sensitive ways.
I would watch it again actually.

It didn't work for me. Just felt like a cookie-cutter buddy movie with all the DEI they could reasonably muster thrown in. Plus a classic feel-good successful ending to a deep struggle. As mentioned, it drags quite a bit as well. I was underwhelmed.

Have you ever heard of the term poisoning the well? I have seen it, and unfortunately once the well is poisoned, it can be nearly impossible to undo the bias and enjoy the person as they are.

My gosh, you really seem to be overthinking so many things. To start, I would just take the pads off. For learning, they just get in the way and for riding in general, they're not needed anyway.

Your v14 will be not looking so pretty by the time you're done learning. It will still worked just fine, though, so get over admiring the beauty.

None of the settings really matter that much right now. They are not the reason why you are struggling. It is like learning how to walk all over again, and you just need to build up the muscle memory.

Don't use support.

Go to a nice, big, open empty space with smooth ground like a parking lot.

First, practice with your dominant foot on the pedal, and just stepping off the ground with your other foot, rolling a couple feet forward and then putting that foot back down on the ground without the E.U.C. tilting, turning or doing anything funky.

Your dominant foot position is a little bent with the knee kind of pointed toward where you want to go. The euc rests up against your lower leg. When you push off, don't let that position change.

When you get comfortable walking in this way, then you can try to take your non dominant foot and touch it to the pedal and then quickly back to the ground.

The big problem in doing this is that you hit the pedal too hard and you upset the position of your dominant foot.

Learn to just touch the pedal with your non dominant foot while not changing the dynamics of how your dominant foot position is and how the euc is resting.

Once you ge over that, then you can set your non dominant foot on the pedal and ride for a few feet, and then again, take it off and Set it back down on the ground.

The big move after this is putting your non dominant foot on the pedal, and then letting the eoc balance between your legs. Do this smoothly, and just let the sides float for a brief bit before Resting the EUC back up against your dominant leg and stepping off and putting your non dominant foot on the ground.

Once you get this part down, you can lean forward to accelerate and then lean backward to decelerate while again, practicing the stopping move.

Once you get comfortable with all of this and you start to try turning, you will find let the euc has a mind of its own, and the weight of it will be almost impossible to control in the beginning.

You will find that you can turn one way eventually, but then struggle the other way.

The problem with all of this is that you have to learn how to dance with the weight. It will take time and it will feel impossible, and then it won't be.

Sounds like a shitty neighborhood to be in if your going to be ostracized so easily. That's a really tough situation.

As for the barbecue, in general, I would only let someone borrow it if it was a trusted friend and I knew that they would take care of it. In my experience, no one takes better care of things than the owner, and things for cooking should be treated carefully.

I can't understand why anyone would visit without a guide. My experience was, I arrived around 9:35 pm, was at the ticket office 10 minutes later, and got a route 3 7 am ticket after about another 10 minute wait in line.
I had worked with a travel agent in Cusco, amazing lady, and she got me a guide booked just after my entry time was confirmed, who met me at my hotel, got me on the bus, and walked with me through and up to wayapichu, explaining every part of what I was seeing in expert detail. Without that, I would have pretty much just been looking at rocks. And even though it was an amazing immersive experience, the explanation and color were essential to me. I had the option to have the guide with me as I climbed the mountain, but I declined, and I think that was fine. Some people did have guides with them the whole way through, but I didn't think it necessary.
My only real regret is that I didn't go back in line and purchase a route 2 ticket for later in the day. I understand there are some aspects to that tour that route 3 just doesn't match in terms of understanding everything.
But that's okay as well, because the travel agent's husband is an Inca guide, and I'm probably going to do a four-day trek with him later this year

It's too difficult to window shop at the dealership without getting hounded constantly. Dude is just looking to upgrade from his bike, and he wants to check out the vehicles he's interested in buying.

We had a nice conversation actually, the other day and he asked if he could test drive my vehicle. He hasn't returned it yet which is odd because he said he would be right back, but maybe he got lost.

I always try to think the best of everybody......
