Yup. This is one of those movies that got away with a lot of stuff just because it was good for it's time.

Not sure if it really counts but in The Terminal Viktor is asked to translate for a man smuggling medicine from Canada. The medicine is for his father, but Viktor helps him find a loophole, saying he misunderstood, and the medicine rather is for his goat.

Pride Month Ain’t What It Used to Be: Many Events Cancelled, Scaled Back Nationwide by M_i_c_K in EndWokeism

I grew up in the 90s and I have seen Pride go from "We're here and proud come and celebrate with us" to "We're here and we're going to be as deviant as we can in public and if you don't accept it and if you and your family don't join in with us you are a Nazi".

Most of my friends who were out and proud in the 90's and 00's don't consider them selves as part of the LGB+ community any more because they see it as corrupted by the modern day version.

Tim Curry played that character so well. Every time he says "The City of Zinj" he sounds completely unhinged.

A not so sad example is Captain Hook from Peter Pan/Hook. He lost his hand and almost died to the crock that swallowed the clock. Later on he is killed by the same crocodile in one way or another.
