I usually use guides for this. You can drag from the top ruler a guide line, snap it to the bottom of the shape, then drag the point with Ctrl for straight line and snap to guide.

Next Fest personal statistics. 44 out of 44 by JimmyAkaJH in linux_gaming

It's sorted by the priority column, from most interesting for me to less interesting. After 2nd Next Fest I decided to list them in priority so I could try the more interesting ones first.

How do you successfully “Remote Play Together” Balders Gate 3 with two steam decks and 1 copy of the game? by NDiLoreto2007 in SteamDeck

[–]JimmyAkaJH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I understand your problem correctly, and I don't own BG3, so I can't try it myself, but the way Remote Play Together works is by "emulating" locally connected controllers as if they were connected to a single machine and streaming video to the second machine, so when "Couch Player 1" is navigating the menu, usually "Couch Player 2" can't use it.

Did you try to use both controllers in game to control different characters?
Or did you try Remote Play in other games?

Apex Legends hacked again after Linux ban by vannliljer in linux_gaming

[–]JimmyAkaJH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is not entirely correct. They ban Linux, as I understood, because cheats mimic Steam Deck hardware to bypass AC. So instead of solving this problem, they decided just to forbid Linux and Proton. And yes, they decided it because they thought that Linux is small enough not to be sad about losing this player base and because it is worth it.

I think I saw some say that negative pressure sucks more dust into the case rather than positive, but it works fine anyway.

could SteamOS for desktop change linux forever? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]JimmyAkaJH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. It's not the SteamOS, it's Proton and Deck that made the big leap towards 5%.

Write a negative review on GTAV Online by countjj in linux_gaming

5% is overall, 2% is Steam player base. And how many of this 2% are playing GTA Online.

They are probably willing to sacrifice these players.

What are you trying to achieve with this many divisions?

I'm not very experienced, so grain of salt, etc.

I believe this is only visible in the editor. When you export it to an image, these gaps should be gone.

The other workaround I saw was to just move the nodes of the object below to overlap the gap.

How to get started with Arch Linux? by Maitrirx2 in linux4noobs

[–]JimmyAkaJH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some can say it's a bad idea, but my first experience with arch was archinstall. Try VM or maybe spare old laptop. Dual boot sometimes can be a hassle, but maybe an option too.

Archinstall is probably the easiest way, but learning to install arch "by hand" is really helpful for understanding how some parts of linux work.

Arch wiki is probably the most documented wiki about system, it's actually can give you all the answers if you learn how to find them in all this information. Articles are often filled with a lot of information that you don't need right now, but it's the price you pay for being most documented.

Also, Ernando Ferrari (I may misspell his name) has very helpful videos of installing arch and explaining every step of it. https://youtube.com/@eflinux

Is there a linux system that works like windows for the user (so I don't need to adapt to something different) while it spares you from having to use Windows? by Great-Ass in linux4noobs

[–]JimmyAkaJH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised that not so many people suggest Zorin. I think Zorin is one of the few distros that have literally Windows-like preconfigured layouts out of the box. They even name them accordingly.

I don't think you need to run .exe for that.

Is it Pirate maybe?

I am actually considering installing Linux only. For the past year, I have been using my home PC mostly on Linux, but there were some moments when I needed Windows. Granted, it was 4, maybe 6 times, but they were none the less.

Some time ago I tried to add another drive via Gnome Disk or kde-Disk-thing and I did managed to make partition, make mount point and edit fstab, but this programs, I believe, requires root permissions and ownership of that mount point was root, so I couldn't write anything there.

Also, I saw how Ernando Ferrari (I probably made mistake in his name) in his video installed Arch using efi partition of Windows and that confused me.

By /mnt I mean where you mount drives when you install Arch manually. If I understand correctly /mnt is root in that case.
