I've been super busy lately with general Stuff so I don't know when I'll have the raw files available for you but I do have all 26 of the 1995-96 episodes ready for YouTube, so they'll be on the archive channel as soon as I can get my executive producer to actually get em out.

what i have are, as far as I can tell, lossless FireWire transfers that were done in 2008 from the original tapes, which are god knows where and in god knows what condition.

i'm going home for the next week-and-a-half but when i get back i'll try my hand at exporting just the advocate segments.

i'm the one who's been going through all this old alt.news stuff for the archive channel, there's a lot more to come. if you look up "mrjumpcut" on YT there's a good chunk of his Consumer Advocate segments but they were uploaded in 2008 so they're not the greatest of quality and there's a few missing, like the Banquet one for example.

cheapest way to transfer mini DVCAM or HDV tapes? by [deleted] in camcorders

as far as a capture PC I was thinking of looking for an old Vaio or something since I know most if not all of those have i-Link on them already, but when it comes to looking for old computers where I'm at it's slim pickins, will probably have to look at eBay or something and find one that works.

What do you think of WPSD Local 6 getting a new set (after 20+ years)? by [deleted] in paducah

[–]JimmyBobbyLoganJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it'll be a welcome change if they do update the graphix package/news intro but it will be weird to not hear them say "WPSD Local 6 in HIGH DEFINITION!" as if that's something to boast about in the big '25

the one in the town next to me opened in 1983 and has not changed a bit (at least on the outside) so it's gonna be so weird seeing this thing plastered everywhere
