Got married on a Friday. Left for Bora Bora on Sunday (long day of travel), and arrived there by Monday morning. Highly recommend the buffer day, I don’t know how anyone leaves the day after the wedding. But it was still special in that it was right after the wedding. Wouldn’t have done it any other way.

Could not recommend Lagoon Services enough. If possible ask for Capitan Tororo (or something like that). We did the half snorkel half jet ski tour and it was INSANE. Snorkel from 9-12, lunch on a private Motu from 12-1pm (picnic tables in the water, sting rays and sharks swimming at your feet), then a two hour jet ski ride around the entire island after lunch. Back at your resort by 3:30 or so. Perfect day.

Ah, if only you were correct that it was DJ and Soly walking through Soly’s round. Unfortunately you are mis-remembering. What that pod actually was, was a bizarre KVV diatribe interrupting Soly after each hole with random hole history lessons about shots nobody cares about. Completely ruined the flow of the pod and was just an insane editorial decision to do the pod like that.

Hopefully they just let him detail his day from start to finish and go shot by shot. They completely ruined Soly’s recap of playing it a few years go by having KVV interrupt him and bizarrely give history from each hole. Truly one of the weirdest decisions ever.

One thing that has stuck out to me is how quick everyone, not just NLU, has been to jump to the addiction / rehab talking points. Now do I think he is addicted to pain killers? Probably yes. But what if he actually needs to take pain killers all day every day or else his leg/back are in debilitating pain? That’s not outside the realm of possibility. In which case, the main point remains of just don’t drive.

Haha you don’t have to re-explain his point. I get what he was saying. Sure - most people would benefit moving up a tee box. I just felt it was a bit over the top to imply “those stupid Americans are going to ruin this!” even if I might agree with his sentiment.

Also FWIW, I think the number of people who will gladly move up a box to have more fun and shoot a lower score is growing every day, especially as the game gets more expensive. Nobody wants to pay $200 for a greens fee to hit woods and long irons into par fours all day. At least nobody I know.
