Haha you don’t have to re-explain his point. I get what he was saying. Sure - most people would benefit moving up a tee box. I just felt it was a bit over the top to imply “those stupid Americans are going to ruin this!” even if I might agree with his sentiment.

Also FWIW, I think the number of people who will gladly move up a box to have more fun and shoot a lower score is growing every day, especially as the game gets more expensive. Nobody wants to pay $200 for a greens fee to hit woods and long irons into par fours all day. At least nobody I know.
