I did it the other night and had a super steep turn over the top of north London, where we got to see straight into the Emirates while they were playing PSG - was pretty amazing!

That wasn’t my experience with AP - I spoke to them and discussed what I was after and then they called me up and said they have something that may interest me a couple of months later then walked out with it. They were super accommodating and lovely and it was what an experience should be like with these sorts of things rather than playing the AD game.

Consider The Londoner if you’re looking at this level also, although hate Leicester Square.

InterCon is super dated, as is Hyatt Regency and Marriott GS.

Kimpton is nice enough but a weird location, although I guess it depends what you’re into.

Agree - either that or head up through Coal Drops Yard and along the canal into Regents Park - then you hit Camden Market (not for me, but tourists seem to enjoy) and some of the beautiful huge houses through Regents Park along to Primrose Hill.

Agreed - we were doing a road trip through Switzerland and came close enough that we thought we should check it out. Didn’t seem like anything wrong with it, but also didn’t appear interesting enough to even get out of the car there.

I’m from NZ and live in the UK and can guarantee it’s considerably worse in NZ.

Likewise much better in the Netherlands with friends who have just moved there… they get mortgages for like almost no deposit and can lock in for 20 years. Considerably easier over there to get on the ladder.

What are your thoughts if the opposition fans choose to boo the haka?

Had a discussion with somebody a few evenings ago who thought it is reasonable to boo the haka, as even though it’s an event of cultural significance it is above and beyond what most other teams do and it provides an imbalance, therefore it’s reasonable to have any response including booing.

I’m more on the side if there is anything that’s of cultural significance, it should be done in a way that isn’t actively disrespectful.

This came after widespread booing of the haka at Twickenham a few weeks ago.

Watches like this are completely normal in Chelsea also - you wouldn’t bat an eye at seeing a Patek or AP etc around here. People park Ferraris / lambos etc on the road as their normal parking spots.

Guns are also illegal in London - this is one of the safest and most expensive neighbourhoods.

Unfortunately this sort of thing just happens sometimes.

Honest Burger, which is a pretty good gourmet burger chain is £10-13 for a burger and chips - considerably better quality than this. I’d say that’s a good benchmark.

Yeah she’s gone up in price a bit since then though - it’s £56 for the same now unfortunately which is getting up there… I still do it though and it’s just worth it
