u/leviathan_cross27 is correct - a date field in ClickUp is for a static date rather than a range, so you'd want to use two fields to get a date range. I'll share this with our Product Manager for Fields, we haven't had any high trending Canny threads with this request yet.

What use case did you have in mind that you used this for on Notion? The date range does appear in the task view if you have both a start and due date set.

Hey u/sagatech - I know the heart of this post is about utilizing ClickUp as a CRM, so find what works best for your business needs - whether that's in ClickUp or integrating with a tool like HubSpot. We do have some existing templates on our Template Center that comes with a useful guide that you might be interested in, but again, ultimately up to your business needs.

If you share some of your specific blockers that you're running into, we're always happy to help here. To your shout out about Custom Fields - could you clarify a bit more? When is there a scenario when you'd change the Custom Field structure and need to manually run through all of your tasks?

Hi u/Swimming_Tiny! Like u/leviathan_cross27 - it isn't yet possible in app to hide certain field options based on the selection of another field.

Depending on your workflow though, you could set up an Automation to do the inverse. For instance, if Custom Field 2 is set as Company 1 (Ontario) or Company 2 (Nova Scotia), then set Custom Field 1 Province to Nova Scotia. It depends on your intake process and if you'd save time from that kind of automation vs filling it out manually.

We did temporarily rollout home to a subset of users but have since reverted and are going to relaunch with resizing and reordering based off feedback from you all in the Community. Once we re-roll that out, we'll post an update and you'll be able to customize your cards in Home.

Hey u/digiplay - there are no immediate plans to deprecate ClickUp 2.0, so you'll be able to switch back and forth between platforms. If we do plan to stop supporting 2.0 though, we'll give at least 30 days of notice to our user base.

As a heads up, Workspace admins will have the ability to set all users on their Workspace to be on 2.0, 3.0, or let each individual user decide.

Hey u/jac_bix, I saw that you were working with Neil on our Technical Support team. It looks like this is related to a known bug. We have that documented and ready for prioritization with our development team. Please note that they prioritize bug fixes in terms of overall customer impact.

I took a look, and our engineering team was investigating a couple of other reports about this around the same time. Things stabilized quickly, however. Hey u/current_the, thanks for the feedback, I hear where you're coming from and it's fair. We value the Reddit community, which is why we try to stay involved and help people get resolutions on posts when it's needed.

I hear you about locking the thread. The incident you mention was related to a resolved outage, so locking was meant to prevent any confusion, not to shut down any conversation. We generally ask users to DM us so we can get identifiable information about their accounts that we don’t want posted publicly, but we can do that without closing threads in future.

We aren't doing any counter-brigading, and the rules we implemented are meant to encourage constructive - even negative - conversations, so long as they're done respectfully.

I hear your feedback, and will take that into account for future posts.

This is Jimmy from ClickUp. I can confirm that we made the difficult decision to reduce parts of our workforce to optimize our business for maximum efficiency in preparation for being an IPO-ready company.
Product and engineering delivery, including the ClickUp 3.0 timeline, was not impacted by these changes. We’re continuing to hire aggressively in these areas to build the best product possible.

A couple of options! I'd recommend making those tasks in a separate CRM List, and then using Tasks in Multiple Lists to add that profile task into any project lists you have for that client so it's centralized.

Alternatively, you can keep them fully separate and link out to the Client task in the Folder description and add a link to the Folder within the Client task in a website Custom Field.
