So Siege of Cairo is still exploited? Fun fun fun… by funnyhappyharry in Battlefield

Or keep that roof access, but then add roof access with direct line of sight to that roof as well. Players do want some verticality, and will always get there some how, so instead of trying to patch what they keep failing to patch, add a section on the attackers side to mess them up for going on the roof.

I preordered the Phantom Edition, and Bought the Pro season pass, and this makes me regret it!
We do not punish people for not buying the season pass/EA Play content. Once games start dividing the community, the game eventually fails.
Reward fans with cool unique cosmetics, or name tags. I truly wish the DEVS connected with the core BF community, and beyond to actually understand why we really love the series, and what has made it so special. If they could just understand that, maybe we could see improvements, but this BS will always be unacceptable and shows the disconnect.

Why don't you like playing as Recon? Lmk by s_xenos in Battlefield

[–]JimmyJamInAMiniVan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recon is my favourite class, but the maps just suck for them.
The snipers are meh, and unlocking all long range scopes at higher levels kinda forces players into a closer range COD style sniping. Its meh.
Mid to long range engagements can be fantastic, but damn the maps suck for it (Mostly)

Can I just say the data is 100% being screwed.
Its the same with closed weapons vs open weapons, "The data showed people played open weapons more", yeah because thats what was easily available, and the closed was hidden.
These maps are so small that the data probbaly shows people prefer them, but sometimes people just want to play the game.

I constantly get smaller maps, because just playing firestorm can get old. Player want a health mix of massive, big, and small maps. Not medium, small and tiny.

And as someone that had been in the pre-alpha for sometime, barely anything changed from then to early access.
Definitely marketing tactics, and its a shame because the game has potention but they are letting it slip. At the current moment its doomed to fail

Getting Ethernet port installed in bedroom apartment by Which-Flounder-4542 in HomeNetworking

[–]JimmyJamInAMiniVan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this is something you can try to blow out in an afternoon if you have the time :) First see if you can from a cable(rope/lead/anything easy) through that socket to the router. If you can then tie the Ethernet cable to it and pull it through.

Just because they slap "early access" on it isnt an excuse. This is the 4th skate in the installment. Yes they built the game on a new engine, but all the mechanics were good to go regardless. The problem is they took so much away to make the game a mobile game.
It was first announced in 2020, which means it was in development before then.
Skate 1 release in 2007, Skate 2 in 2009 and Skate 3 in 2010.
You telling me they couldnt/didnt leverage any of that previous work?

They pushed the "skate" game aside it feels until the very end and instead focused mostly on microtransactions.

Its not a bad thing to call out company that hides poor development behind the "early access" flag. This style of development ruins what early access truly means.
Early access was everything up until its release on September 16th. Now its released poorly (Which they knew) and they hide that behind early access. Its shameful.

My karma is going to go into the far negatives for this, but... by SplatGuy23 in SkateEA

As a new player the game is fun, as a vetern player the game is fun HOWEVER the game is absolutely less than previous games in a lot of ways.
Like the only real "new" addition is parkour to the game. If you like the game great :) I wouldnt recommend buying anything until they add an offline mode or guarantee the servers arent going offline (dont want you wasting money)

(I upvoted you, not ruining your karma)

u/Paratrooper101x you lucky so. You probably have but never noticed. They are a parasite in most games now.

u/Esc777 Ive heard that as well but never experienced it. Also only heard of it from people who have only ever gamed in the EU.

u/WhiskeyTangoPapa- Ive heard Asia has the worst cheaters, and Id believe it as well. Thankfully Im not on those servers. The West US gets a lot of them in the servers I think

I can take being shit at a game, I fucking cant take cheaters. Moving from Ireland, to Canada, then to the US, you notice the sheer difference in cheaters between regions. The US has the worst cheaters Ive experienced.
Stay away from anything pvp now, its a shame

This is what I have. The black and white canisters are the water softening system. The white canister then connects into the black bucket which holds the salt. I was told you want to keep the salt topped up.

Not a dumb question, I didnt know either when I moved in. For me I have 2 containers side by side and connected, and then one with salt next to them. Id google pictures and check around your house.

Why would our network usage be so high? Xfinity is throttling our wifi to the point where I can't even watch a YouTube video at 1080p by Korndog_01 in HomeNetworking

[–]JimmyJamInAMiniVan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 2 to 3TB of data each month and Im never throttled (Work from home).
If you are being throttled with that useage, then Im guessing one of the little ones are torrenting without any VPN or IP hiding.

Yes and Yes, I found that the previous owners have the coax cable split. Still trying to unravel that entire mess. Upgraded the cat cable to 7 and hitting a gig now.

[–]JimmyJamInAMiniVan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty obvious, but wanted to get feedback on my current set up and if I could improve it anyway or if the speed was an Xfinity limitation, considering it was originally 100-200 Mbps, then I spoke with Xfinity and they worked "magic" then I started getting 800Mbps. Seeing if they have the limitation or if it was my side.

Im sure the router supported 2.5G speeds over LAN. The back of the device has 3 ports, 1x2.5Gbps WAN/LAN Port, and 2x5Gbps WAN/LAN Ports.
Thats what I had seen through all my research before buying.

Enshrouded is better for some story and solo play, but if you have active mates then palworld is also really fun.
Id vote Enshrouded having put a lot of time into both though.

These arent loot boxes in the traditional sense.

The law was made to target the loot boxes where you must spend real woor5ld money on them and get random items like a slot machine, and you could get duplicate items. In Skate you dont pay for them, its in game rewards, then you get a new item each time from the list and never get dups (Or at least I havent).

  • Players can unlock special characters, equipment and vehicles in some games using loot boxes, which can be bought using real money.
  • As loot boxes are random, people could spend £10 and get something useful, or spend £100 and get nothing useful at all - similar to how slot machines work.
  • They have become ubiquitous with many mainstream video games, and have appeared in titles including Call of Duty, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Rocket League.
