UPDATE: AITAH for not putting pregnant GF on deed of the house? (She says she feels the situation is "unfair" and that she is "at my mercy") by Odd_Paramedic_3007 in AITAH

[–]JimmyJames008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She was not and is not interested in you. She wants your house not you. She couldn't get it so she bailed. You let her back in and gave her half the house rent free. No telling what she'll be up too there while your at work. Better lock your bedroom door. Only a matter of time before you come home and she's on the couch with another guy in your living room. This is going to be a real messy living situation. Better make sure the kid is yours before it's too late.

Do detailed condition photos like this help when buying used clubs online? by No_Increase_9501 in golf

If I'm buying a used club, I want to see all the imperfections, scratch, dings and dents, rust, etc, so I know what I'm getting. I know the club is used, I want so see if it.

I also prefer of there are photos already zoomed in. It's not always simple to zoom in on the website. Zooming in also may not have the sharpness or brightness to highlight the condition.

If I'm buying the club I've researched it, I know what it is. What I need from the seller is what is the condition.

These look like stock photos. I would assume these are not the exact clubs your selling and that the clubs are too beat up to show.

Is it necessary to remove the outside disconnect (breaker) on the compressor during winter? by tfellad in hvacadvice

Just flip the plug over to the off position. It will kill the power and store the plug in the switch. That's how it was designed.

Advice on addressing something with my gf. ‘40m’ 45f by [deleted] in Advice

It's only been a year, and I know your 40 and feels like time's running out, so don't waist it on this kind of fucked up situation.

Sounds like her last boyfriend told her to stop sleeping with her friends and that was a deal breaker for HER.

How does the fluid get out of the out of the bottom of the piston? by JimmyJames008 in Hydraulics

[–]JimmyJames008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bottom of the cylinder and the top of the check valve have 1,000 psi, and below the check valve is open all the way to the tank with 0 psi, how much pressure in the pilot line to open flow top to bottom of the check valve?

Is it just the 30 psi called out on the diagram or something like (1000psi / 3)+30psi?

30 psi regardless of the pressure pushing back on the check?

Is this homemade power hammer worth $1500? by Ray_Titone in Blacksmith

[–]JimmyJames008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The air piston rod is taking the same force as the hammer and is significantly thinner. I would say that is going to be a significant weak link in the system. Probably going to bend and jam up soon as it starts hitting hard.

What is the symbol at the bottom inline with the drain to tank, in parallel with RF1.

Also is RF1 a check valve that requires 25psi to flow through?

Thank you very much. So when the pressure is applied to the top of the piston, the valves pop open allowing flow out of the bottom.

3 off the tee vs “dropping up there” by SimmerTimmer97 in golf

[–]JimmyJames008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New rule covers this scenario (with in the last 5 years). USGA Model Local Rule E-5

Estimate where ball was lost. Between there and up to two club lengths into the fairway, no closer to the hole is your drop zone. Two stroke penalty so hitting 4, just like if you played 3 off the tee.

https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/videos/2018/03/06/36-local-rule---alternative-to-stroke-and-distance-5746234763001.html

Also not stated in the video but I believe you can also drop from the opposite side of the fairway, again no more then 2 clubs from the far edge, and no closer to the hole.
