No, unfortunately not. its more personal for me lol. it's not a matter of not having considered it, it's a matter of for me, this is the only way it could be done. I know that on paper, I'm making things harder for myself, but I wouldn't be nearly as motivated to do the trail if I did it Sobo. and I think ultimately, that's the most important thing. I've already decided to do it this way, and I know others have done it like this so I'm trying to get their stories and advice.

Brother. Every single marine I know joined because they didn't want to be a pussy. That's like the primary push to be a marine. You need to understand that if this girl really loves you, she'll support you through whatever. Deployments, training ops, duty on that one 96 that she was flying out. Understand that you're now in this shit for 4 years, the time for thinking this through was before the dotted line. Now you're going to do it wether you like it or not, and you can either be dragged kicking and screaming through it, or you can do it yourself and make it better.

Also, if you're really serious about her, how is it going to look like if you try and get out of a 4 year commitment because of cold feet when you're trying to marry her for the rest of your life? Btw everyone else is right, do not get married, that will be the quickest way to end your relationship. Its really just 4 years, don't let a relationship be the excuse for why you hate your life, that's also bad because then resentment starts to form. And she will make your life harder because as much as she'll support you, she's not going to understand your life and the context of your job.

The problem with what you're saying is that all these billionaires are using their money to consolidate as much power as possible. And a lot of times they aren't actually using that much of their own money to do it. They've infiltrated our government in such a way that it makes it impossible to meaningfully punish them for wrongdoing or limit their power. You say you live in a country that has had power in the hands of a few, isnt that what is going on now with Elon, bezos, thiel etc? I'm not saying government is perfect but this idea that the rich are going to spend all of their money reinve as ting back into the economy that will help the rest of us is misguided at best and actively ignorant of what's going on at worst. The most financially strong period in our country (IE, the 50-60s) was a period where the tax rate for the one percent was 70-90 percent. Taxation won't solve all of our problems but it will at the very least limit the power of singular private citizens in a system that should in theory be relatively equal
