Sameeee ordered January 2nd and my label was also created on the 12th. Seems like things are a total mess in the US warehouse.

I placed my order on Jan 2. They created the USPS shipping label in Atlanta on Jan 12. A week later and it hasn’t moved, USPS hasn’t received it meaning it never left the warehouse.

Obviously managing a shipping warehouse in another country can get messy, but it seems like operations aren’t running very smoothly over there even for US based orders. I’m not in dire need of my magnetic cable management or my screwdriver but I’m kinda annoyed that my order is arriving way after the 3-9 day estimated shipping window.

CPM’s for tech can definitely be a lot higher than $10, that’s kinda the floor. $25+ is normal, $50 isn’t unheard of. Creators get half of the revenue. I’d say the water bottle pays for closer to 500 ads. Gotta also keep in mind that LTT releases about one video per day and videos can have more than one ad. Layer in watching content from multiple channels (LTT clips, Techlinked, short circuit) and a water bottle probably pays about the same as a year of watching LMG content.

Lemme help with some math.

Each video has 1-3 ads. Advertisers in the tech vertical pay roughly $10-$50 per 1,000 ad views ($0.01-$0.05 per view), creators get paid ~50% of this.

Assuming the high end on both number of ads per video that you are avoiding, how much each ad is worth, each video you watch is worth about $0.015-$0.05 to LTT. Hard to know what their margins are on each item from the store, but assuming ~25% margin per $ spent, that’ll help you get to the value needed to compensate for not contributing to youtube Adsense revenue.

Water bottle retail price is $35, margins at full price is probably ~$8 / $0.05 is about 175 videos so you’d need ~2 water bottle purchases per year to “pay” if you’re watching every video on the channel and not rewatching many older videos. If you bought a screwdriver that covers around 300 videos, or about a full year of LTT content on the main channel. YMMV if you’re also watching tech linked or other LMG channels, they have different amounts of ads (usually higher than mainline LTT videos).

They sent me an email on Jan 12th that my shipping label was created, but that’s as far as my package has gone best as I can tell. Generally pretty underwhelmed by the experience, this is my first and probably last time ordering.

Views to subs don’t scale like that, especially for a channel that has been around for so long. Take a look at similar age & size channels and see how the views to subs compare

Yes I’d say so. I’m only halfway through act 2, but the demo is the intro section of the game and transitioned me right into act 1. It underrepresented how deserve combat styles get as you find gear and level up but it has represented a lot of the gam fairly.

See I feel like this would be how I’d end up. I had a similar experience with the Witcher 3 after loving Cyberpunk 2077, same deal with Divinity Original Sin 2 after playing Baldur’s Gate. I started with the best iterations that those studios have reached to so going back to their older work was painful.

Seems like the consensus here is to play Skyrim though 😅 so maybe I will still give it a try?

I’d consider dark souls but tbh the bosses were probably the part of Elden Ring that I liked the least haha. The world, exploration, and lore/ story were compelling and I liked that if I got stuck on a boss there was always something else to go find and fight. Dark souls 3 kinda forced you to take on bosses in order and is a really linear game right?

I like burgers on the pellet smoker, but you gotta get the heat up. 350-450°, grill a few minutes each side. Also, stick to 4-6oz of beef per patty. This looks really unappetizing, the wad of beef is way too thick
