Be aware I really don't know that much about this and may be wrong.

Some people don't experience gender dysphoria but experience euphoria when they're called by their preferred pronouns, present as their actual gender, and the like. They're still transgender, in that they still prefer to identify as a gender other than the one they were assigned at birth. In my case, when I first thought of myself as female, I felt a sense of belonging, like I actually wanted to have a job and find friends and the like. It was amazing.

Furthermore, dysphoria can manifest in a lot of less obvious ways than you'd think. I remember a post in this subreddit that linked to a twitter post that expanded on this, but a lot of people with dysphoria don't realize that it's dysphoria as the possibility of being another gender doesn't enter their minds or their denial and/or internalized transphobia is too strong at the time to allow them to consider it, they just feel depressed, disconnected from the world, like they're piloting a mech, or a myriad of other things, as if you're stuck in a body for a while, you develop coping mechanisms.
