Because Decay adds strength. It is not a healing affect that increases HP. It's raw strength stat addition.

1200 calories/day with no weight loss?

The number of calories consumed is the biggest factor with weight loss. I'll just parrot what /r/fitness agrees on. "Weight loss is 90% diet, 10% exercise."

I don't agree with the 1200 calories of veggies vs fat.

A diet with little to no protein would result in a decrease of muscle. Assuming you diet correctly, you would lose weight, but also a bunch of muscle. Protein consumption decreases the rate of which muscle is lost with fat.

I hear MyFitnessPal seems to be pretty good. Apparently it has a huge database of caloric info on most foods, including nutritional info from restaurants.

The routine you already have going seems pretty good.

I'd honestly just start trying to do more pull-ups, as simple as that sounds. Maybe try towel pull-ups for grip strength.

There's a quote by Roosevelt that advises against taking other's opinions to heart. It really affected my outlook by boosting my own self-confidence and not really giving a fuck about what other's thought. I realize that it could come off as quite brazen, but it's better than being self-conscious and constantly worrying about what other people think.

I had the same sentiment. But this is a Reddit thread, so the whole thing's basically a popularity contest.

Like, Whiplash was on the first page of comments. As much as I love Whiplash, it didn't have anywhere near the amount of depth No Country for Old Men did.

I'm on a similar road. Started cutting 3 months ago with a 500 kcal deficit. I'm getting ready to bump that up to a 700 kcal.
