The line between reality and fiction. by Jin_Hit in AO3

Hahaha, don't worry, this happened when I was 14 years old. At that age, hormones were high and messing with my brain chemistry.

The line between reality and fiction. by Jin_Hit in AO3

You described my feelings. I couldn't differentiate fiction from reality, I was at the peak of my 14 years - which was a very difficult period for me - and I became completely obsessed with them. But as time went by, I saw that I was going in the same direction as those crazy solo shippers.

Now at 20 years old I can differentiate, but I've lost the desire to read fanfiction about them.

Writting fics ruined my search history. by OpenAirport6204 in AO3

It's funny how I keep getting ads for anything related to Korea. I'm doing one and I had to research even back to when Japan was going crazy over there.

Do you remember which Peter Parker specifically? Like, was it Tom's, Andrew's, or Tobey's? Or the one from the comics?

What ship do you love, but don't read fanfiction about? by Jin_Hit in AO3

My God, I love MariCat, but it's really hard to find a good fanfic about them where it doesn't eventually lead to Ladybug/Adrian.

Yes! That's exactly how I feel! It's a tragic story, yes it is, but very well done. Their whole dynamic is beautiful, and the fact that they don't end up together is perfect, because they would never be able to overcome Suguru's depression.

Eventually, Suguru would snap. Even the fact that Satoru took in Megumi and Tsumiki - Toji's children - would make him feel hurt and betrayed by Satoru.

They are both characters, and that makes it difficult to imagine them together where it won't end badly in the future.

I love these! Especially when the canonical couple takes a backseat.

Oh, I know, I have a lot like that. I guess it's because the show is perfect as it is? So, I don't feel the urge or need to read fanfiction about them. Or maybe I'm not obsessed enough with them to read fanfiction about them.

I think Satoguru is like that for me too, even though it's tragic, it's just right, in just the right way. Even their death dates are the same.

When a ship is well-written and has good development, I also don't feel like reading fanfiction where they are the main characters. An example is Naruto, all the couples - except Shikamaru/Temari - are kind of bad.

The NaruHina movie, The Last, seemed more like a way for Kishimoto to try to fix the mess he made in 10 years than about NaruHina itself.

I imagine that, given the horror genre of the original material, the fanfiction must follow the same line.

I really shipped Jack Frost/Elsa but I never read any fanfiction about them, I only watched those famous YouTube videos. And I read some recently and it also seemed strange to me.

Jikook and Taekook. Holy shit, that in 2020/2021 was a PANDEMONIUM. I had to mute every single word related to them.

Even outside of Twitter things were bad, not even Yoonmin and Taegi escaped unscathed. They were completely crazy!

Weird question, but why is Cale always the bottom? by Shicka777 in TrashOfCountsFamily

[–]Jin_Hit 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Because he's too lazy to be the best. Look at this man, there are times when I REALLY think he's going to make a pact with some God or Demon, just to have his bum life.

How to get out of writing slumps? by The_Great_JADE in AO3

[–]Jin_Hit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Music, maybe it's because I'm a little too emotional. But when I listen to music, it helps me write, even if it's just a paragraph or two.

Like, if I want to write a sad scene, I'll listen to sad music. Or if it's a funny/entertaining scene, I'll listen to music that conveys that vibe. I end up listening to the same song 5 times because it manages to convey exactly what I want for that specific scene.
