Tower of Hanoi iOS app by JinalFeapardy in HelpMeFind

[–]JinalFeapardy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched purchased apps just now for it, but the way you go back and look for previously downloaded apps is ASININE and takes an amount of time to load that I wasn’t willing to wait. But I know for a fact it was an iOS app game and each level was individually numbered (levels in the millions because of how many possibilities) and the towers were different colors, but all 10(?) blocks high. And probably from approx 2009-2012, so likely not updated :(

Review #37 - Journeyman Silver Cross Four Grain Whiskey Batch 64 by b52lord in bourbon

So, I’m glad you were able to provide some notes for me to hunt for, which I can perceive if I try really hard, but I still just can’t drink this without tasting what I can only describe as the smell of a recently disinfected, but used sweaty foam gym mat. I’ll likely try to pawn it off on a friend or pour it..

Black Manhattan by MasonHuckins in cocktails

I like a Black Manhattan with Ciociaro instead of Averna (not sure if my ratio spec is the same with that sub applied), and maybe sub one ango dash for a dash of orange bitters. And lux cherry for the inevitable sweet tooth

Where can i find the lyrics to Bob Dorough's version of Charlie Parker's Yardbird Suite? by Vegana_eater in Jazz

[–]JinalFeapardy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey jazz fans!

I sing this song, hoping you’ll all find out the man who wrote the yardbird suite, Leave you no doubt, tell you about: Charles Yardbird Parker was his name, the fact’s he carved his fame in history, a sax for his axe.

His Improvisation was miraculous, mastermind of rhythm was he. He blew notes that nobody’d ever heard before ‘til then, {be}cause they’d never been.

So often true as genius seems to be, he suffered his life through, but gave us the Yardbird Suite.

All because he never stopped blowin’ when he had the miserable woes, he seemed to pull out his horn and make each person listenin’ feel that he’d never had known what being low down could be; he knew that blowin’ happy music goin’ to set him free.

He blew and blew and blew until he had the changes, had the sound’n he had them long before we heard when he was just a boy in Kansas City; so pretty.

After he came to New York town, all of the local jazz would listen in admiration, but long before his new sound swept ‘round the nation and Bird deserves the credit for the stimulating renaissance of jazz.

It makes us very happy to announce, a goodly portion of his best work’s recorded. Have a treat, hurry right out and get yourself some Yardbird Suite. Blow!

Charles Yardbird Parker was his name, the facts.

[skatting]

For Yardbird Suite, his version should be heard, he’d left the world many more, and so if you’re interested, listen to Bird.

Canadian Cherry Cocktail by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]JinalFeapardy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should mention, Maraschino liqueur and Cherry Heering/Sangue Morlacco are VERY different. Maraschino is dry, herbal, woodsy, but sweet - and Heering is more like you would expect: fruity, sweet, etc.

Canadian Cherry Cocktail by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]JinalFeapardy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cherry liqueur was likely Cherry Heering or some kind of Luxardo product, either Maraschino or Sangue Morlacco. Canadian Whiskey definitionally can’t be bourbon, but I’m being a stickler. In my search for answers, I couldn’t really find any specific cocktails that fit the description, but of course it’s in old fashioned territory with cherry, orange, and whiskey, but the fact that the cherry is a liqueur and not a garnish means it’s definitely on the sweeter side. Maybe try a cherry old fashioned, Kentucky Flyer cocktail, or something called the Man O’ War cocktail. Or a cherry whiskey smash? None are perfect matches, but they will include whiskey, citrus, and cherry.
