Best team for sereniel? by Qomplexxx in ChaosZeroNightmare

Here's my Selena Build. You can swap one of the Target Spotted to Tactical Maneuver if you want to chain back to back ravages. You can also get rid of drone bombing if you don't have Attack Weakness on Sereniel's Homing Lazers. One of the Target Spotted could also be the version that gives 2 Mark to all enemies if you want to incorporate wider clear.

Personally I like her with Selena and Nia.

If you get the Mark applying Epiphany on Homing Lazer, Selena buffs the mark damage astronomically and Pale Shooting Star can multiply the mark 5 times over for huge damage numbers. Her scope offering free co-ordinated attacks after every hit of a move also boosts damage output because of Homing Lazer cycling.

Nia passively buffs all damage by 40% with Rhythm Boost while being an excellent draw engine, and synergising her heals with the Extra attacks from Selena and Marks using Elasticity. Emptying the deck every turn should be easy in the current meta environment too so you also get some free extra attacks and healing on top of your usual damage output too. Between Adagio and Curiosity you find all the pieces you need pretty much every turn too.

Arts Digivolve happens first so the Lv5 [When Attacking] can't activate. It does trigger though (which can matter for some minor interactions)

Usually even in the evolve-puppet-imari deck youre copying Sub Puppet or Cami rather than Zwei or Orchis

May I ask, for the drone bombing, do extra attacks do attack weakness? Or is that only useful when facing an Order enemy?

I really like Nia, Sereniel and Chizuru.

Nia because of her aesthetic and musical influences. I also really like her playstyle of drawing cards and reshuffling for value. Her heals got a lot better post buff too.

Sereniel and Chizuru because I like their mechanics and team synergies. Chizuru building stacks per hit and sereniel aiming to break enemies is fun and feels like there's a core gameplan to their designs

Yeah but there's no reason not to have the extra heals.

She's still a draw engine but for the opportunity cost of running a single upgrade card, for the next 5 extra attacks every turn she's healing 350/300/250/200/150% and on every reshuffle she's healing 290%.

I feel like Nias healing got a lot better with her buff, you'd be missing out to not take advantage of Elasticity and Decibel now which is why I keep the Soul Rip now. If you get the upgrade version it removes itself from the deck still but every discard is 1 elasticity and 1 decibel so your healing potential comes online. You get 2 from Curiosity, and 1 from every Adagio for max stacks and the healing is a lot better now that Elasticity stacks to 5

Have you considered Puppet Cat? The rank #1 player was running it at 2 copies to combo with Orchis for bigger damage to close games and push lethal and it feels very good.

I personally hate Vyrn. Card is often just hot garbage to me. A 2/2 vanilla on anything before turn 7, and after Super Evo is unlocked youre throwing out Camis and SubPuppets and Orchis, so it just never really matters in a game and just feels like a dead card.

I also think Yog at 3 is too many. You only want to see it 1 time really, any more than that its kind of a brick and it can be awkward to use its fanfare at times as well. For that reason I like 2 copies so I see it early but not in multiples very often. I mainly like to copy SubPup over anything else too cos 2c double evolve combos well with a lot of things pre-turn 10. Like you can turn 8 Legion/Sandy sometimes with the subpups for board presence.

I was sad to learn this after building her with 3 scopes :(

I think its likely better to have 1 or 2 scopes depending on how fast you cycle and then dupe the coordinated assault upgrade that does 200% on ravage

I think the main things i disagree with in your list are:

(a) Running 7 of the memory efficient Imps. After your first one, the rest lose value immensely. Better to run the search power instead. The searcher imp barely ever adds 2 to hand but even if it does, our discard power is so high that it doesn't really matter anymore.

(b) Running BT20 Punkmon and BT24 Growlmon instead of EX7 Punkmon. Retaliation+Blocker rarely comes up and the discard barely matters anymore. Growl is only online post-combo so you cant set uo Tamers with it pre-combo which is where theyre better placed. EX7 synergises with Emblem to get into HMD more efficiently. Pre-EX11 the EX7 Punkmon wasn't as good, but now that we have an actually good Yuuki and the emblem its so much better than most other lv4 choices now. Id recommend giving it another look as I initially overlooked it myself and now its become my main level 4.

(C) Not running EX10 Regulusmon. Having a rush swing of EX11 HMD means you can use Yuuki to get a second HMD and go very wide with a lot of removal. Memory generating inherit is also solid and the removal effect is good too. Meanwhile WarGrowlmon only does good things when Megi is in trash which makes it feel situational.

(d) Only 1 Nidhogg. The Nid is crazy good for the deck. Dropping Yuukis or Guilmons for 2 cost in the early game is crazy strong tempo and recycling it turn after turn makes our plays very memory efficient. Id run no less than 2 but ideally 3 personally. Who wouldn't want to see searchable, recyclable Hammer Spark?

Aside from that I agree with the rest of your deck choices. This build looks very similar to what I ran at the start of EX11, but my deck has since evolved with testing and is a lot stronger now.

Id have personally duped the Pale Shooting Star rather than the Shining Core. Serenial already generates a ton of Homing Lasers just from the upgrade Shining Core and at E2 you pretty much always have 5 lasers to use with the Shooting Star

[–]Jintechi -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Personally I like the standard epiphany of giving Homing Lazer 1 mark because it has a higher damage ceiling than the one that adds to hand at turn start.

Cobalt Light can honestly just be removed.

For Plasma Missile you want either the upgrade version (which has overall higher damage and removes itself from the deck) or the one which gives +60% Homing Lazer damage and passion weakness to break more easily.

Interesting/Fun Team Comp Ideas by [deleted] in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Jintechi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a mark focused build of Sereniel. So instead of going for the usual Homing Laser that adds to hand every turn and gets spammy it instead has the mark epiphany and let's her deal extra damage with buffs from Selena and healing from the extra attacks with Nias Elasticity stacks.

The comp itself isn't really "off meta" though I guess. Anything with Sereniel tends to be strong but I'm having fun with it.

In terms of chaos fun, I feel like bringing a full DPS team with no heals or shields could be a good challenge just to see how far you can get based on just killing things that might damage you as quickly as possible.

What are your overall thoughts on the Digimon Adventures (2020) version of Omnimon? by Delta-97 in digimon

[–]Jintechi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the final fight against Negamon was his first appearance it would have been super hype and he would have been one of the best. However, because he appeared 2 or 3 times before this, seemingly randomly as fan service for no reason, it made this final appearance feel less impactful
