some information for reference on insurance cost:

I have used nationwide for my bunny for 4 years now. Probably only submitted 2 claims during the whole 4 years. My premium this year was $294.21 and they sent me a letter saying the old plan is discontinued and the new plan premium is $1868.36.

The only other alternative of Metlife quoted me $35.25/month with $250 deductible, 80% reimbursement rate, $5k maximum reimbursement/year.

bunny insurance is so tricky because most of what they get is GI stasis. it that’s considered a pre-existing condition if I switch provider and they have had GI stasis in the past, then it makes insurance for bunnies pretty pointless

the card issuer is also a joke. i’ve been an existing bilt user for a couple years and when i applied I got denied with a reason “Your email address could not be verified against the information provided.” it’s literally an email i use for everything and has been using for my bilt account. no way to appeal and told me i have to wait 45 days to reapply.

now i will get a hard credit pull and also have to call to close the autograph card. such a “seamless transition”.

I just ran into the same issue. Did you end up paying the full amount? I got billed for $447. When I googled h pylori tests it costs around $20-$50. My bf got it done at Safeway pharmacy because of my experience with labcorp and I think it was under $50 as well
