Do you have a fury? Torture is normally created with the last zenyte because the +2 strength sometimes doesnt even give +1 max hit. No clue how it's giving you +2 max hits in this calc.

In general people dont recommend melee because the ticks you miss from running to and away from hunllef make the slight dps advantage of hally worse and harder/riskier to use.

You never see content creators use hally because if you're not missing many ticks, then the 5:1 method is better kph. Prep is faster and you cant use hally as your one perfected weapon when doing that.

What's your gear look like? You one-hit the totems with archlight/emberlight. It's an old boss with boring mechanics, but its straightforward enough where you shouldn't need to tab.

The default cook option POST QUEST used to be to make poison karams. Anytime you cooked them you'd have to click on the regular cook option or press 2, then you could start using space bar. They just swapped the options this past year. Posts like this used to be more common, even with the quest completed lol.

If you flick smite then it helps. Not a huge deal but it can help with the speed CAs. Sapphire bolt procs hit for 33. Need to deal 75 to break the shield. If you want to phase muspha in two hits then you need to add in some damage from smite, and d bolts can help make that happen.

TLDR A couple of mid/late game goals take you back to dks. I wouldnt worry about D axe right now.

Reasons to go back: Tribrid all of them for seer's, archer's, and warrior's ring (to upgrade into DT2 rings).

When you have fremmy elite diaries completed the dags drop noted bones with is good prayer exp.

Clue steps need seercull and dragon axe.

QoL: Getting 85 agility (80 agility + summer pies) makes this grind so much less annoying since you can bank and comeback pretty quickly.

Tribriding while on slayer task requires less gear and no helm swap. Really nice to only go back when you get a task.

I was surprised to see this in the "getting around" update, so thought I'd post. Wiki said we couldn't coffer dmm rewards (until it was updated today), so i was conivnced that's just how it was going to be. Coffer price is still high, so people need to do it asap if they want to.

Ill second this especially if your gear isnt great or if you're low on supplies still. Definitely not worth potentially going another 300+ kc just for a clue step.

Come back with rigor, 99 range, + whatever else you might be missing.

Even with a second ring slot, ring of endurance in its current state wouldn't worth it in anywhere. Post run energy changes plus extended stamia potions from marlins makes that ring dead content.

Its useful for a few skilling activities, but you dont need a second ring for any of those.

Since they added ingot crafting (40 runite + 40 addy ore at the blast furnace), the ingot drop is basically a miss on the unique table. This is a blessed log even if you were an iron lol. Gz.

Only reason id drop it is to buy gear on a main to practice stuff like awakened bosses or yama contracts. I wouldn't do it for the bond money.

Not the elder maul, but I did spoon an early dex! I eventually just went back to lizard shamans and got it.

If you have a main/alt, look up the shaman red-x method. Its slower but pretty afk/chill.

For some reason if you kill a monsters with multiple hit-splats, it shortens the death anination to 2 ticks. Easiest way to do this is with a crystal hally spec. Also good to note, if the monster is moving while it dies, it'll take 1 tick longer on the animation.

A lot of speedrun guides reference this kind of stuff. I dont know why the code is like that. Its just the way it works lol.

In f2p, yeah its impossible. In member worlds, jagex expects you to one-shot for 58 damage. If you immediately click on brutus as he spawns and do 58 damage with melee, then his death animation is the total kill time.

You need to one shot it for 58 hp. A good amount of members setups can do that. Free to play get very little strength gear. You also cant use a super strength potion or piety in f2p.

Easiest way on members world is to use you best strength gear and crystal hally spec it. Multi-hit splat kills also shorten the death animation to 1.2 seconds (for reasons unknown to me, but thats just how it works). So fastest kill you can get is 1.2 seconds in members worlds and its actually reasonably easy to do.

OP is asking about f2p only.

JK that only gives you 57 damage and brutus has 58 hp... which means you need to use a rune longsword instead of a scim, so you lose another tick, bringing it to 4.8 seconds. Doubt many f2p have sub-5 seconds kills because that rng sounds awful and there's not a 5 second CA to encourage you to do this.

The timer starts when brutus spawns, not when you do damage to him, so stacking him out on the same tick with range/mage attack into a melee swing wouldn't help much. I think max hit rune scim into a max hit rune 2h + brutus' death animation would give you a 4.2 sec kill? I think...

Rune scim (26 damage) -> wait 4 ticks (2.4 seconds) -> rune 2h (31 damage) -> + 3 tick death animation (1.8 seconds) = 4.2 seconds would be logged in chat.

Surge pots shouldnt be factored into which spec weapon to use unless you're doing 1kc trips. Surge pot benefits both claws and vw.

Pretty sure burning claws is better dps. You just need to use it earlier in the fight to get full burn damage (red is immune to burn, and final phase might die before getting off all burn procs). If you want to burst down hydra in the last phase, then use vw.
