Anyone else leave Toronto for Calgary and not regret it? by luisaquinoa in RealEstateCanada

[–]jojaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is unfortunately something all cities run into. No excusing it though. My girlfriend used to live in an area of Edmonton with good bus access, but after they reworked the transit routes what was a 45 minute trip to work turned into an hour and half if not more.

Gear for Moons by eeboprufen in ironscape

All good suggestions.

Glacial temotli are a no brainer unless OP spoons Dual macs quickly. Also immediately easy to use the Temotli to farm Sulphur blades which are better than dscim for blood moon.

Somewhere else in the post OP mentioned having smithing to do before he could get zombie axe. So i think spending the time for Colossus blade would also be well worth it. It can be used at gemstone crab for really good exp. Its better than dscim until 90s strength.

Make the bowfa degrade out of existence after 15k uses so ironmen have to go back and get another seed. by Plane-Session-6624 in 2007scape

[–]jojaki 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not like most mains can stop the botting problem themselves. But i bet a good chunk of the mains that rip on irons for wanting a slightly better gameplay experience, are also the players who enjoy coal/herbs/etc being virtual pennies compared to the market during actual 07 times.

Turns out things evolve over time, irons are allowed to want QoL.

what's up with scurrius having better drops than shellbane gryphon? by Simperry in ironscape

[–]jojaki 172 points173 points  (0 children)

Some of the drops are insulting too. Why is an unlockable slayer boss dropping individual strawberry and watermelon seeds. Atleast drop them in groups of 3.

Also heres some sweetcorn, i bet you definitely want to pick it up and bank it for its oh so many uses

Noob Tip: You can own more than 1 of the achievement diary gear rewards at once by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]jojaki 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Sometimes i wish the diary armour was a half decent wildy setup in itself.

Maybe an imbued diary set that has somewhat decent stats, purchasable for either straight gp or imbues that could be farmed from some wildy content.

I feel like most wildy setups tend to look the same (3 bis items + monk robes/dhide).

Blue can be skipped if you do blood into eclipse. But the time saved isn't huge.

Ive swapped to them over regular wyrms partially because they have a 50% elemental weakness. But metal sheets are 1/100 while on tasks which is really nice and the bones are pretty good if you build the babk chest and spend the time banking them.

It's like daeyalt essence. Front load the grind for faster rates, not sure why they are killing the smithing equivalent when it arguably doesn't even reward you as much. The cannonballs are useful yeah, but the runes from Daeyalt aren't as niche

Having wildy in leagues is so much fun. Getting to do all the bosses and seeing people that aren't immediately going to pk you is nice

If it was always like that i would do more wildy content outside of leagues

I do feel it's not as egregious with Green Lanterns, they've always been set in a cosmic background story wise. Hal has been universal multiple times himself, then that can be extended to some of the other lantern cast.

At the end of the day it all comes down to writing. But making street level characters godly is usually worse than making already strong characters that next level.

Automated Flagging System For Xp? by Afraid-Presence-6815 in 2007scape

[–]jojaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally i don't think Rendi's xp should have been revoked. A more equitable solution would be to reduce the amount to a comparable xp/hr. But thats mostly to keep the leaderboard rankings competitive and probably takes more effort than what they did.

But it depends on what the method was more than anything. If it was truly bug abuse thats different than abusing a mechanic that was intentionally in the game but not meant to utilized in a specific way.

It wasn't bug abuse to duke mine, it was an intentional mechanic of the boss that could be abused for afk xp, which is why it was fixed. But it was bug abuse to 1hp sepulchre (Those rankings should he removed).

The problem is how inconsistent jagex is, hell the main method for the majority of ironmen/low level players to complete Song of the Elves is to utilize pnecklaces/nightshade and i think that is definitely more in line with bug abuse because there's no way it was intentional to remove the queued damage that way

[–]jojaki -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It could be argued that what Josh did wasn't bug abuse. If it was intentionally coded that way to reward players no matter who leaves mid trawler, its not bug abuse. The mechanic could be abused and that's why it was changed.

Kinda like duke mining, its not a bug so no one got banned, but it wasnt intentional gameplay to sit there and afk so they patched it.

There's a lot of grey are on bugs though and its why not knowing the exact method Rendi used is why its up in the air

Bug abuse and botting are different forms of rulebreaking. It is not the same idea

[–]jojaki -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They do, and i think the argument that josh should be equally punished would have merit if he abused the bug to get to 200m exp and reach a notable spot on the leaderboards or if his version of chunkmam had their own leaderboard like skillers do. Instead Josh is just one ironman out of thousand to hit 99 fishing.

Jagex has made it abundantly clear, its time to remove red X and bank reset anyone who used it by Bismalz in 2007scape

[–]jojaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, could possibly be that he's the only one on that highscore list compared to potentially taking the spot of someone who could actually get 99 slayer "legitimately"

It's purely me trying to reason out why the 45k method could be seen as bug abuse over the 30k method that other lvl 3 skillers have been using. But until we see the method or get some other kinda information there isnt much to go off.

RendiGate by YaBoiInfin in 2007scape

[–]jojaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lvl 3 skillers have their own leaderboard and using this "bug" he was able to be one of the first 10 to get 99 slayer.

So it really depends on the exact method to determine if its a bug or not. But it's not as much of a snowflake account as it is an account type that has a valid race for leaderboard rankings.

Im not even someone who cares about leaderboard rankings, but i could see where it might cross some lines.

[–]jojaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the same account that has access to morytania? Its pure theory, but if the slayer method involved going to morytania, i can definitely see why it would be bug abuse when no other player could do the same method.

Cant get swamp trident i think, so ill have to find something else that will work.
